Do we really need 3 topics a week trying to shyt on the blueprint

just stop it

It's a testament to an album's worth if people have to constantly bring up a decade old album at try to combat it's standing in hip hop.

You're not attacking the Blueprint the right way by saying it had no impact

That album launched the careers of Kanye and Just Blaze and mad people were biting its sound

The proper way to attack it is by saying it gets too many points for impact and song for song (beat for beat, verse for verse, etc.) it's not a classic quality album

especially since the Black Album and American Gangster are better in every way and those are not universal classics

but the Blueprint is somehow a classic... because of impact alone

"Classic" always seems to be a muddled term when it comes to music

:mjpls:

:damn: that's my album man

Reasonable Doubt, Stillmatic, The Cool, Doggystyle....all good albums but you would think these are books from the bible the way they are defended.

A producer getting recognition from an album doesnt make the album classic

2 most overrated albums that I've seen people call classic are AEOM and Lifestylez of Da Poor & Dangerous

I'm not saying it's a classic... I'm saying people think its a classic because it was the album that brought soul samples back

pac is my nikka 100%, but "All Eyez On Me" gotta be the most overrated

Outside of Pac stans, didn't realize many consider this a classic. Everybody knows what this album was, most talk about the filler on it. Album is still very dope though, and stands out in the moment of time it was released.
