N.W.A - Straight Outta Compton

I love N.W.A. But its a classic based on a handful of songs. Half the album can't even be classified as gangsta rap. Something 2 Dance 2? I can't fukk with this track. And Something Like That and Compton's N the House don't mix with the rest of the album at all.

u are on your own with that.

Something 2 Dance 2 is the only skippable song on there.

GRODT is the answer to the thread, RD is far from overrated, the only way its overrated is on the impact it had when it came out and people trying to rewrite history

BP is mentioned a lot because it's his most seminal album..It introduced the world to the concept that RD was a "classic" (a statement that was never made in rap circles before 2001) and it spearheaded the biggest rap battle of the modern era..It was the birth of Kanye and Just and featured a prime Eminem at his creative and commercial height..

It also marks the last time Jay-Z had confidence...

I disagree that it was lyrically weak and carried by production...An album with Girls, Girls, Girls, All I Need and Breathe Easy-Lyrical Exercise can't be considered lyrically sub par...

The real answer to this thread is Liquid Swords
