College Dropout isnt overrated. It made Kanye a household name and opened up a completely different lane. Kanye dropped that album amidst the G Unit gangsta rap era. Kanye made it ok to dress a certain way (not 3xl tees), not wear excessive jewelry (he didnt at the time), and be successful without killing people and popping bottles in the club. He changed the game in 2004. He's trash now, but he did his thing back then.

illmatic is a bit outdated now, but when it dropped it was a top 3 album ever.

stillmatic had 2 tracks with bad production. and the rest of the production was average to dope. the blueprint was way better produced, but nas was rapping better than jay. both albums overrated for different reasons.

Lyricism on RD >>>>>> BP. I just dont see how BP is anything more than a solid album.

So true. I tell people this all the time. Jay's best album is the Black Album. RD has the lyrics Blueprint has the beats. The Black Album is where he geled both together.
