Correct because a lot of state budgets turned out to not be as blown as expected hence the excess of funds with nothing to spend it on and situations like this.

That’s what California did in the form of stimulus checks to its citizens with the excess funds, but unfortunately every state operates different.

I think this is a situation where you are both right. Biden's COVID relief legislation could have had more protections to prevent misuse of funds. And these racist corrupt predatory maga legislators could have used the additional money in much more productive ways (schools, hospitals, infrastructure, etc.)

Any improvement is better than the way things are now. States waste funds all the time and the COVID-19 or infrastructure money isn’t new.

It’s why I thought it was laughable that some states were complaining that COVID-19 blew up their budgets like their budgets were already blown years prior because of poor money management and misappropriation of funds.
