I should’ve waited to get this game , it’s not as smooth as I thought it would be , running is wack and like a pull to me, not like no mercy or revenge at all imo, kinda choppy, still like it tho, I like that it’s different from 2k3 so I’ll still play both , depending on how I feel

All of the caws I've seen look bad; and they all have similar faces & hair. The only major differences between caws are the clothes & ski color.
They showing these jawns off like they fire too

:heh:

A lot of people ain’t gon tell the truth about this game and convince themselves It’s incredible because it’s AEW, but nah.. this shyt kinda empty. Decent starting point tho, I’d cop again for the low. But nah brehs

I feel like they shouldn’t have released this if it wasn’t ready. It’s underdeveloped. We could have waited another year

Agree.

Or release it for cheaper and give a clear roadmap for where the patches and paid DLCs are heading. If people know that a more robust creation suite or more play modes with greater replay value are coming they might go ahead and buy it at the cheaper price point then buy the DLC when it releases.

But they charging full new game price with no roadmap of what the DLC content will be beyond a few months, which thus far is just a few new wrestlers and mini-games as far as I can remember. And those wrestlers aren't exactly what I would consider the high in demand type like Matt Hardy, Broken Matt Hardy, FTR, Keith Lee, Hook. Can't remember if there are any others.

But with that said, this could be a completely different game in a few months. Who knows..

But as of right now, this game is undercooked. Fun gameplay, a little unresponsive at times.. but it’s not enough to devote hours to. After running 10-20 matches back, especially with a small roster… you kinda lose interest

They say that it's not going to be a yearly release but one updated with DLC content. Well what's the major content going to be? If it's just going to be wrestlers and mini games then that's not going to help matters any at all.

Are we getting a more robust creation suite? Are we getting more game modes? Are we getting an expanded story mode? Are we getting new features like commentary in matches and actual talking in story mode?

They're basically making this a sort of subscription type game if all the DLCs - instead of annual game releases - are going to be paid. So what's the selling point for people going forward. What's the vision? Where do they want to take this game in 6 months, in a year, in 2 years, etc.? We don't need any concrete timelines like "We are going to add this by 4th quarter 2023, this by second quarter 2024," just let us know what the plan is in general.

I haven't been reading/watching reviews but have seen user comments and the headlines and the gameplay seems to be really near universally lauded. So it's clear the gameplay is a very strong foundation for the game. But like I said before, they got a tiny house on it. The foundation should be big enough to support considerably more. So what improvements, renovations, and additions are going to be undertaken to take this tiny house and make into a nice big house?

Just give us a vision. A lot of the shortcomings would be easier to accept if we knew things were going to be rectified in the future.

IMO, it would've been better if the devs kept the game until it was finished & then released it. We already waited 3 years, 1 more would've been fine.
Like I said earlier in this thread, they sold us half a game and used "it's an arcade game, bro!" as an excuse for fleecing the customers.
Hopefully, if AEW gets another game, they keep Miss Kenny off of the dev team and include all of the features (commentary, a full creation suite, modern graphics, etc.) that have become standard in wrestling video games. They can give us an arcadey experience without shorting us on features.

I also have to say that it’s pretty funny/ironic how 90% of the reviews feel that the gameplay is a pretty solid starting point but everything else is super undercooked and half assed, but then you have that segment of fans like “Nah this is amazing! Everyone is wrong, who needs game modes, creations etc. in ring is all that matters!” because… that’s AEW fans in a nutshell
