I see that the season pass DLC is $30 as a stand-alone purchase. That is pretty steep considering what little they’ve announced for it so far. It’s only $20 extra when you buy the Elite Edition bundle. Even that seems a bit much to me. If they don’t beef up what’s going to be in it I don’t really see this being a sustainable business model for a video game.

They say that it's not going to be a yearly release but one updated with DLC content. Well what's the major content going to be? If it's just going to be wrestlers and mini games then that's not going to help matters any at all.

Are we getting a more robust creation suite? Are we getting more game modes? Are we getting an expanded story mode? Are we getting new features like commentary in matches and actual talking in story mode?

They're basically making this a sort of subscription type game if all the DLCs - instead of annual game releases - are going to be paid. So what's the selling point for people going forward. What's the vision? Where do they want to take this game in 6 months, in a year, in 2 years, etc.? We don't need any concrete timelines like "We are going to add this by 4th quarter 2023, this by second quarter 2024," just let us know what the plan is in general.

I haven't been reading/watching reviews but have seen user comments and the headlines and the gameplay seems to be really near universally lauded. So it's clear the gameplay is a very strong foundation for the game. But like I said before, they got a tiny house on it. The foundation should be big enough to support considerably more. So what improvements, renovations, and additions are going to be undertaken to take this tiny house and make into a nice big house?

Just give us a vision. A lot of the shortcomings would be easier to accept if we knew things were going to be rectified in the future.
I don't think they know. They are gonna sit and analyze the sale numbers and decide from there lol

I don't think we're gonna get an update for career mode or any major changes but I can see them adding to the roster and giving us more creation pieces like clothes, moves, etc until they are ready for a second game.

This should of been a $30-40 game for base and then charge us 60 for the elite edition I think doing that would helped with some of the criticism.

All they really need to add in create a wrestler is the ability to change the depths of facial features, way more hair options and a drawing tool. That’s it. The GameCube no mercy wannabe’s even had that

There's something charming about the CAWs. Definitely evokes the PS2 era games, although probably not for that reason intentionally. I haven't given a shyt about CAWs since the PS360 era when shyt became so cumbersome and overbearing to get anything to resemble a real person, which only got worse as the series progressed to 2K. I'm definitely not going to use it for anything than the story whatever, much like I haven't used it at all for 2K in a decade.

For anyone having trouble with the Big Show match, just keep throwing him into the guardrail until 9 and then run back into the ring. It shouldn't be that difficult to beat Big Show just to unlock him. Also the minigames unlock one by one every time you beat RTE.:snoop:

And sharing. If you really want to go into a deep dive on customizing a wrestlers move set to be as authentic as possible it can be quite timely. To the point where I really don’t have interest in doing it myself unless someone gives me the complete breakdown of it so I can just replicate it.

And their entrances too for that matter. One of the things you can customize on there just lists Generic Male 1, Generic Male 2, etc. and it’s like 60+ of those. You’d have to preview every single one until you find the one you need.

AEW Fight Forever is now out, and AEW SVP Nik Sobic recently weighed in on the mini-game aspect of the console game. Sobic appeared on AEW Unrestricted and discussed the mindset around including the mini-games, which will be expanded as part of the DLC packs.

“Not all development meetings are fun, but one of the best and most fun times was the brainstorming meeting for mini-games,” he said (per Fightful). “We came up with 100 ideas. I pushed so hard for Shida’s slugfest. It made me happy that Adam Cole liked it too. That one was a little controversial, but it’s my favorite. I’m not capable of being unbiased on that.”

He continued, “Why mini-games? This game is optimized for couch play. It’s awesome online and has unlimited online features, but I will tell you that the people that worked on this game are gaming nerds that have been playing games their whole lives and miss the couch play experience. Mini-games sort of scratch that itch.”
