I watched Chris Denker (DenkOps) play the story mode and I see Kenny Omega's influence. And I mean that in a bad way. Some of those cut scenes are written like they just asked ChatGPT to script a JRPG. Or like when I dreamed of my own JRPG after I played my first Persona game. I was 11.

2k23 is pretty fun, but the problem with AEW is
1. No voices
2. You don’t get to make decisions
3. No continuity, you win a title and it’s only acknowledged during that storyline
4. It’s repetitive
5. The writing is awful
6. It felt like it was made in 2003
7. It’s not a yearly release so I expected the story mode to be way better than that

The NBA 2K games always seemed to have a particularly shytty career mode. I think I've had three of those games and the last one I had the career mode was so bad I would have rather gone into the office to work instead

JFC I just started up the game to make sure the DLC content had downloaded for when I go to lunch and I had to press cancel three times on the online stuff before I could even get past all the loading screens and shyt. No means no motherfukkers

also, game is very fun. spend more than a day with it before talmbout how shyt it is. it's building a good foundation. get some updates rolling out. fix some of the big issues. release content. could be an all timer
