Meltzer isn't entirely wrong with what he's saying about those old Mid-South angles but they were running the Superdome because they were a regional promotion.

AEW could have picked to go ANYWHERE.... They could have easily sold out the O2 arena. But Tony wants to go big. So he put himself in the position to where it's going to be a big success or a big fail.

Tony probably downed alot of speed and white claws and thinks he's gonna have neckbeards rocking Wembley like Bon Jovi in '95 :russ:

The gate is more important than the attendance anyways, tickets for Royal Rumble 97 were cheap as hell because they wanted to pack the dome for Shawn's big win, it's way better to have a "lesser" crowd that pays a lot more than to have a big crowd that doesn't make as much

Anything around the ring should be wild expensive. Anything in the lower seating should be fairly expensive. That's probably a good 30k. Once you get above that why not just price 'em cheap

You wait until late to start pricing them cheap though. You price them cheap from the outset and you're early buyers who would have gladly paid more are going to end up buying them.

If it "only" costs $400K to rent Wembley they probably will turn a profit if sell 40K tickets

Production costs, transportation and lodging for talent and staff, marketing and promotion costs, etc. Not just renting a venue.

I’ll be impressed at 30000 because they haven’t done that domestically. It’s going to look like those old AWA, Crockett and World Class stadium shows where they were at 20% capacity, it is what it is.

The crowds they get in USA is irrelevant to the UK...

They'll break 30K attendance easily just based on the first-day signups to register for the presale.

Dax Harwood has his hopes for a dream match at AEW All In in London: FTR & CM Punk vs. The Elite. Harwood recently spoke with Uproxx for a new interview and during the discussion he spoke about the upcoming show, which takes place on August 27 in Wembley Stadium. You can see a couple of highlights below:

On his dream match for the show: “CM Punk and FTR versus the Elite. That’s gotta be it, right? If you want to sell 50,000 tickets and take this company to the next level, that’s it, that’s me dreaming. That’s the dream match. That six-man tag in Wembley Stadium could help launch AEW to the next level.”

S/O to Dax for calling the match a "six-man", like any red-blooded American male would say. That dainty "trios" bs needs to be retired ASAP.

Putting Kenny Omega in a 6 man on this show would be a significant waste. He’s literally front and center on the poster. fukking FTR lol

You'll get no argument from me. I think that everything about Miss Kenny is a significant waste. Kenny Omega, his prissy spirit fingers, his 1-900 call center promo voice, and that sassy prance that he does before running the ropes can all stay gone until pride month.
