#ADOS Feature Article in the NYTimes

I know more ADOS are running for office now. But is there a reason why ADOS dropped the ball in terms of Congressional representation?



I said this in another thread (i think the ADOS thread in the Root) but ADOS is dropping the ball on not having Castro and Williamson at 5% right now in polling. And I'm only talking about the 50 and under crowd. Over 50 is lost.

Not sure. I think it's the "we all Black" effect. Most ADOS don't see ethnicity when looking at Black people -- and we just happy to see another Black person.

We now understand we need someone who is ADOS - but also aligned and devoted to help ADOS communities and people. In addition to other - Black folks -- but understands the differences and needs of ADOS.

The reason Williamson is not polling at 5% - -because she is not being given press by Black outlets -- because Black outlets are not ADOS owned/ran. Or they are paid for.

Like Al Sharpton show -- is huge back home for older Black votes -- they know noting about her or her stance on reparations.

People are sabotaging Willamson because she IS for ADOS. If Williamson can get her reparations commercial on in Detriot, Chicago, Alabama, GA markets it's over.

I am black but reside in europe and also have fam in the states so i travel around when im free. Reparations not as a matter of morality but as a matter of political feasibility is a pipe dream and not something foreseeable in a long time

But, you aren't ADOS. So, just mind your business.

We know it's going to be a long time -- but we will continue to speak out and demand them.

Its a free forum and we all can share our opinions, nothing wrong in making demands just as me reminding people those demands wont be met anytime soon and is unrealistic due to the makeup of congress and partisan gridlock in washington

That's fine and all. But, you are one of the regulars who come into every ADOS thread to either be negative Ned or offer something untrue and sometimes Anti-Black American.

We can say, demand, ask or do whatever we want -- and feel we need too. We have that right.

You don't have to support us, or state what you feel is unrealistic -- because you are not even American citizen or ADOS. So, your opinion is mute.

Politically speaking reparations is a pipe dream and will not happen due to the makeup of congress and partisanship, no one is going cut any of you a check its as unrealistic as canceling student debt 100 percent for everyone.

It should but most a lot of the activism in online--and where people learn about ADOS.

That IS changing -- but because it is just regular people with no funding -- it (ADOS) will be holistic.

My mother and family only know about it because of me. Why? because most of them are not online -- and don't know how to use a computer. Or do for basic things only.

Neither ADOS or Williamson are getting the press and push they deserve. Williamson is not because of the reparations and supporting ADOS --who many see as this faux "divide" of Black folks.
