Ironically WWE hasn't done a December PPV in a while so Survivor Series might be his last PLE match. He might have his last stuff on Raw and or Smackdown. The last show of 2025 is a Raw on December 29th.CeGOAT retiring at Armageddon 2025

I'm behind treating it like a championship that must be defended.
In general though, and this is perhaps Nam flashbacks from VKM booking, I see the MITB as a needed mechanism to ensure you've got a new star on the come up in case a situation happens where a workhorse goes down. I wouldn't waste such a thing on a feud that doesn't need it to stay hot.
In kayfabe though... Drew McIntyre should have won the match as he's the only one with some semblance of a track record in getting shyt done in big games.
