I started the new job last week. I have a program on my laptop that allows me to record, so Ive been recording my training sessions. It helps me take better notes at a later date and just use it as a reference guide. Listening to the session from yesterday and I didnt realize how COUNTRY I sound in these sessions. My gawd :snoop:

I just need to keep moving forward. No lie, I’ve gotten too comfortable. At this point, I can do my job/tasks with my eyes closed. The position I applied internally for I actually don’t really care for, I just need a change plus I need to let my manager know I’m not satisfied with staying still.

I recorded a training session I gave and :picard: do I really sound like that to people? :mjcry:

People would b surprised as to how “off” they sound in their heads vs reality. For a real trip, get a video recording of your self giving a presentation. I swear it’ll make you cringe.

Seriously considering getting in to stock broking, how does one get in to it. Ive looked sparingly and seen you dont even need a degree but so far found the entry requirements have been pretty vague.

Summer is never kind to my wallet. All these social events and weekend trips adds up very quickly. Gotta help my sister move into her apartment in NYC, my good friend from college wants me to come out to NoLA, older cousin in LA is saying I should make a trip out. Got my cousins in ATL telling me to swing through and I got this Nigerian Igbo conference in Minneapolis as well. To add, my friend wants me to come to a wedding a Vegas but that's like $1,500 minimum for Labor Day weekend.

I may just select a few trips/events for summer, do them well, and call it a day. One trip to NYC over July 4th and one to LA later on and I'm gucci. I'll keep it relatively local after that.
I still have a huge trip to Nigeria in December which is gonna be a stack and some. That's life though :yeshrug:

Lowkey after I cleared off my debts earlier in the year I kinda took my foot off the gas. Need to tighten up for the rest of the year, especially with how uncertain the macro economy is at the moment.

Never do this breh.

Got the draft of the new resume back. The format looks good. She definitely made it a lot "cleaner". I told her to fix a couple of things and I want to highlight more of my analytic skill set. Should be able to start looking the week of the 17th. I've narrowed the search to something data centric...data analyst/scientist/engineer/architect.

Nice! Good luck, I hope you hear something soon.
thanks like i said i was doing a lot of juelzing. Not sure what to expect of the role if im being honest. They asked me if i was familiar with python sql and other industry tools. Im only familiar with python and sql from my degree they seems to train people however. THey also mentioned they do a bit of machine learning :francis: my maths skills suck but fukk it fake it till i make it . The good thing because of all the hype around data and data science from the salaries i've seen in london i can easily double my salary after 2 years.

Good luck to you too

I was recently introduced to python through school, but I've been working with SQL for a few years now. As far as the math goes, from my experience you don't need to be an expert because you can rely on the technologies to do the work. You just need to be able to understand the results. It's most certainly a profitable field.
