@Obreh Winfrey is Java your main language?
Was the array you use a multidimensional array?
What frameworks do you use?
Are you Software Dev or Web Dev?
The reason I ask, I'm finishing up my first java course. My school only teaches C++ or Java
I don't know what to continue with learning to code Software dev or Web dev?

Java is my main, followed by Bash and Python, then Javascript. Really just depends on the day though. The interview questions had both a 2D and a single dimensional array. Traversal of the former, sorting on the latter.

I've done a little bit with Spring, but I'm normally not in a framework. I use Maven all day long though so you should learn it. Errors can be cryptic so be prepared to troubleshoot. Honestly go with whatever you like more. I have more fun doing back end work, so that's what I went with.

:ehh:bash OK, so you can build and configure Linux servers? Build your own development environment? I say this because you said you like the backend. Never heard of Maven I'll look into it. Is it easy to pick up? I study Linux too mostly Ubuntu and a little REL. Learning the cli helps with everything.

Nah, I'm not an infrastructure guy. I just wind up doing a lot of scripting to support the application. I wrote one the other day that can prep and update our Kubernetes environments when it's time to deploy the application. I only wrote it because our ops team can be incompetent and stuff falls through the cracks.

Maven is generally straightforward but it can become complex quickly with a large project. It's not so much that you need to learn it inside and out, but you should get familiar with POMs, how to add dependencies, how to build the project. It's primarily for Java projects but there's a ton of plugins that can make it useful for other things as well.

I'm getting tired of apartment living after this new batch of people moved in. MFs have literally no self awareness and make too much noise to be living above someone. I'm trying to be understanding and not to complain to the leasing office, but my patience is starting to wear thin. I may have to see if I can scrape together money for a place of my own :francis:

Breh, when it sounds and feels like they're dropping bowling balls or swinging at the floor with a pickaxe, headphones ain't gonna do too much for me. Best case scenario they have a short term lease. Worst case is they have a 12 month and theirs will end about the same time as mine and they reup. I really like this unit and I don't want to give it up if I can help it.
