I hate that with the utmost. I not only have to catchup on what the ticket is about but what they have done so farWhen you're given tasks to "complete" that someone started and now your new tasks are to fix what they started AND then complete the task list. I am tired already.
This one presentation has been pushed back so much, I'm more irritated than nervous. Come on and get this shyt over with, so we can get the feedback, make changes, and close this fukking project. I am ready to be sick of and stressed about something new.
Man, go to that interview and treat it like it's your only option. Good luck.So I officially got laid off on Jan 4th, and got serious about my job search even in the midst of tech layoffs.
Got good news from a recruiter today about a pre-IPO tech company I've been talking to since before Xmas. Had to come back to reality with the pay range I was looking for, but should get an official offer letter sometime next week once the founder gives his approval.
Still taking calls and interviews though because you never know. But one company I know I dont really want to work for has me on the schedule for a 2.5 hr group interview with 3 VPs. I really wanna cancel, because fukk all that. But I don't really have shyt else to do at home, cuz unemployed.

Housing in general has me scratching my head. I’m doing well in NYC because I got lucky with the rent at my place, but I have savings so I’m ready for when this situation falls apart.
On another note, I’m getting older, but I wasn’t adventurous enough when I was younger. I haven’t done much traveling aside from some family trips.
Planning to go to Europe with a friend sometime in May because we’ve never been. And there’s a bunch of other places I’d love to go see.
Edit:
Brehnadians, why y'all housing so goddamn expensive ? If you ain't dropping multiple millions then you have almost no options. Make it make sense

But even then, sitting through a 2.5 hour group interview with 3 people, and 1 of them I already had a 45 minute screening interview with.
These older legacy companies move slow as hell and make you jump through hoops. Also, they weren't even offering equity, and the company had not hired for the manager above me yet, so it was gonna be a rejection from me anyways.
I just looked up the house I grew up in. It’s in Brampton, listed at 1.5 million. This city fukking sucks. That's it.
