I've been working at my job a while now but I'm 100% remote. Now I have to travel and spend a few days in the office. Feels like a 2nd job interview, def going to be an experience seeing everyone in person after all this time.
Got it as a Christmas gift, im reading it now
When you're given tasks to "complete" that someone started and now your new tasks are to fix what they started AND then complete the task list. I am tired already.
This one presentation has been pushed back so much, I'm more irritated than nervous. Come on and get this shyt over with, so we can get the feedback, make changes, and close this fukking project. I am ready to be sick of and stressed about something new.

Brehnadians, why y'all housing so goddamn expensive? If you ain't dropping multiple millions then you have almost no options. Make it make sense
Because the entire structure of our economy is retarded. Real estate makes up a good portion of our GDP...which is retarded. Trudeau is an airhead and has basically used mass immigration to prop up our housing market. It's Canada so naturally everything is heavily taxed. A lot of social programs that we need to pay for. We only have 4 or 5 major cities an so everyone goes to those cities pushing up prices.
When the US had their housing crash in 2009 or so, we didn't...so imagine if the US never had that crash and shyt just kept going. That's Canada now. It's to the point where condos are close to $1M, townhouses outside of the city are easily $1M. You can travel an hour outside the city and still average person can't afford it. It's yeas of shyt government thinking you can run an economy on real estate and social programs. Chickens coming home to roost now. while house prices are decreasing, interest rates are going up and we have a stress test which makes buying even harder. So you have to qualify at 2% above the posted rate.
A lot of foreign investors from China and India bought up a lot of RE thus putting upwards pressure on housing prices. Our government did nothing about it. Instead created programs to allow them to buy RE. It's a giant mess.
I already cancelled it, as I had accepted an offer for more pay with a tech company.
But even then, sitting through a 2.5 hour group interview with 3 people, and 1 of them I already had a 45 minute screening interview with.
These older legacy companies move slow as hell and make you jump through hoops. Also, they weren't even offering equity, and the company had not hired for the manager above me yet, so it was gonna be a rejection from me anyways.

I've sat through one of those before. I got like a 20 minute break
. Some of these companies are crazy. I used to interview people...you kinda know pretty quickly if they're the right fit and if they can do the job. 3 hours with all kinds of hoop jumping is ridiculous.
I just looked up the house I grew up in. It’s in Brampton, listed at 1.5 million.
