Small chance your manager never comes back and you take her spot
or you just shine in front of your CEO, and you get tagged as "key talent/high potential"

Besides maxing out your 401K contributions, 529s if you have kids, etc...think about getting into Venture Capital with some other like minded folks.
You should meet the requirement as a qualified investor, see if you can link up with some folks, create a family office, and invest in a fund or two. Minimum check sizes can range from $50-$250K depending on the fund, but if you can pool assets with others to make it palatable, why not take a gamble on some startups.
Max out 401k, Roth IRA and regular brokerage investment.
After that, I’d say you want to probably pool you’re money with some like minded folks and maybe look at PE investing or setting up a small VC fund. If you and some folks pool say $500K - $1MM, you could make some decent plays at early stage start ups.
Real Estate is also there as well.
