I had a client be so disrespectful to our team one time. I never felt the need to cuss someoneout in my entire life as much as I wanted to cuss him out. It sucks that you have to refrain yourself. We e-mailed, called him for 6 weeks to do his part, no answer, then had the never to try get demanding n apply pressure. Once we fixed his shyt, not even one thanks.
Exactly why I’m leaving consulting. Client serving is trash

But is it more worth it? To have a W2 vs P&L sheet?
I don't know the ins and out as I've never done it myself. With that being said it definitely can be worth it. I know my firm was billing like 175 an hour for me... I probably was getting paid around 45-46 an hour. You can eat and it doesnt have to be complex stuff. A lot of project management consultants are sole proprietors.

That's funny because I'm trying to get into consulting. :francis:

On the other hand, if I can find a way into Mercedes or Porsche I'd rather do that.

Consulting isn't inherently trash, it's just with the pandemic the lack of some of the travel benefits makes it not worth it for me as the same role is underpaid compared to industry. You learn how to be thrown a random ass problem and how you can rapidly fix it. Additionally you're always in contact with senior leadership at companies so you get an understanding of what really matters to those folk as well as the ins and outs of various industries. The trade off is you can work a lot more than average, but you get great exit opportunities in return.
