Mine was looking but I was chilling using my saving and unemployment during covid until my boys planned a Vegas trip a few days before and I couldn't go because my finds weren't right..that was enough for me to get off my feet

Stagnant trending towards the decline

. Not enough to hold me over for very long if something happens. I basically just told.my girlfriend I'm about to cut it off since she's not listening to me about spending money . Keep thinking this shyts a joke, we'll find out who walks away laughing.

I know how to save, know how to exercises smart money habits, just been off my game is all. For me there's always a few places of resistance when it comes to saving up and I'm one of those places right now. I messed up a bit because I moved into a place with higher rent, but I just couldn't take a chance on having upstairs neighbors anymore. By the end of the year I'm projecting that I'll be able to pay off my car, which frees up a good chunk, I can cut back on fast food, and may switch internet providers to save maybe 20 or 30 bucks. Of course, a FANG cash infusion is also welcome.

Just got offer from 2nd company. Life changing opportunity.

Signed my offer, start new gig in August.

Was on pace to make $140K this year at current gig, likely to make close to $300K at new gig in 2022 and beyond.

Case in point - FANG knocking on the door again and I still got my dikk in my hand . This time I'm going to get this process started and set a hard date, otherwise I'll just waste their and my time dancing around when I'll be ready.

Software Engineer, mainly back end but no true specialization. I've done code, infrastructure, Dev Ops, a bit of architecture. Given the time and some creative freedom I can produce good results. But a 45-60 minute session to solve a problem that doesn't always correlate to the real world, I just can't do well.

get that FAANG for us. I just told Microsoft I don't feel like interviewing.

Interviewing is exhausting. Especially when you prep, go through multiple rounds, and get that "We moved on to candidates with more experience."

4.75% raise. Finally get a raise on par w/ normal inflation during a year where inflation goes through the rough . It doesn't help that they didn't give us any raises last year 'due to covid' even tho it ended up being our most profitable YTD.


I can't see myself staying in the corporate world (or at least this company) for too much longer once WFH gets partially rescinded in the fall. I gotta just keep stacking my money and investing in my personal skillset.

Had a pdf I wanted made into a physical book to study with and Fedex quoted me at $256

Office depot put me in the game tho

Lol so many people lying about their job title on linkedin. I searched for sevurity consultant on linkedin and so many people that are not are passing themselves off as within my company. It takes years upon years to reach consultant level here.
