It's weird that they'd go on vacation and not send out an update of any kind. It sucks because it's the only job i really want out of the 3 that I'm interviewing for.

A job slid through the inbox that seems promising. Interview this afternoon with a job I don't really want, but I'm going to do the best I can anyway. It's with the State of MD and applied on the humble because they said plenty of jobs were available so it was more of a "well hire me for this one, then". Didn't expect to actually get a call. 
You'd think it'd be weird, but ghosting and shoddy communication has been the norm with recruiters for a while now. I'm always hesitant to work with them.
I forgot who posted it, but this was my response to an Indian Recruiter.

fukking Amex man. I paid off my bill because I didn't want a balance to post on my statement. Had a couple of pending charges, paid the posted balance yesterday. Tell me why these fools decide to finally post those pending charges at like 11:59 last night

This move is gonna cost a bit and the firm is only chipping in so much. Their rationale is, I’ve been working from home for almost a year with a salary well above the CoL in my city. I get it, but still
December should be better anyway, international travel should have sorted itself out and I can use my year end bonus to travel.
I’m past that stage where I say YOLO and charge the trip to my CC.

No update because the recruiter is on vacation.
Probably didn't get the job. My old coworker says they mentioned another candidate to her. I got an email yesterday saying I'd get feedback by the end of this week. They probably sent out an offer to another candidate.
The other jobs I've been interviewing for just seem like the same old shyt. And the job I'm at now is just completely uninteresting.

Got a verbal offer today from one of 2 tech companies I interviewed with over the last few weeks. Not excited about it as even though it's a salary bump and stock grant, it ain't that much to get excited over.
Also talked expected salary numbers with the other company, and recruiter said I should expect a formal offer this week. I would accept based on what I was told.
No way my current employer or company #1 would match. Happy and ready for this process to be over
