Had a pdf I wanted made into a physical book to study with and Fedex quoted me at $256

Office depot put me in the game tho

I swear life shyt be so much more difficult than it needs to be. These a$$holes at office depot had my order processing for 14 days

Canceled with those clowns today and went back to fedex (where i did double sided pages and black and white ink) $60 and they had it done in an hour.

Work wise: Interview tomorrow with a former manager of mine to join his team. Im bored as fukk in my current situation after being here about 18 months. This would be a bit more client facing but I would be getting some good PM experience which ive been looking to do.

Any of y’all taken security+? What advice would you give/what books to study?

Been a while since I took it, but the Darril Gibson books were always recommended. It was the easiest out of the CompTIA certs I studied for back in the day.

Was gonna post this in the Data Analyst thread but may be better suited here.

How does everyone in the field feel? I ain't been feelin it since like May/June. This time last year I was eagerly learning/banging out dashboards in PowerBI now I don't even care to open it. Can't say a bad thing about my gig, compensation is fair, far from overworked, good company. Could just be in a slump. Sorry for the rant. Hope everyone is in a better headspace than me. May have to dust off the resume soon.

Finally going to see my new job’s office in person next week. Work said they’ll want us in the office M, W and another day of the week that we can decide on as a team. Return to office after Labour Day.

My manager is leaning for Thursday as the 3rd in-person day. I’ll likely be in the office 5 days a week to be honest. Especially since I plan on living close to work so I can bike in.

WFH is cool when you’re more established in the company and can do the tasks with your eyes closed. Outside of that, I just need a designated, focused environment lol.

My mom fell for that Microsoft call scam/fraud saying your computer has been hacked. Guy had her install some program to take over the computer. Thankfully she finally felt something was wrong when they asked for financial information. I’ll probably wipe the computer if anything else goes wrong.
