Just finished registering my business. I've been cultivating this idea for nearly 4 years and finally have a willing client. Before, it felt like I had to convince people why this was a good idea, but to have someone like I NEED what you're offering, is exciting.
My one mistake was inviting a friend on board. He's talented, but has no ambition. Has to constantly be guided and pushed, and I don't have time for that. I've known him over 15 years and he still hasn't gotten his Bachelor's Degree. Lost his last position due to COVID and the issue he is facing...again is having a bunch of experience but no degree. Same issue when he was looking for work like 8 years ago. Get the damn degree!! Keep talking about "life caught up with me". Nah, you're just lazy.
*whew* Any who, I made up my mind to proceed with this on my own. I will pay him as a contractor and try to guide him to a business of his own based on his talents. I cannot partner with him though.

Should have taken at least 2 weeks off before I started this new role back in Sep. I didn’t take off during the Christmas break and now work is really ramping up.

Couldn't take time off for the holidays. In addition to the four weeks of vacation I get, I ended up carrying 15 days over but could only use 10. Used a week of those for vacation this week. Much needed. We're already matching last year's volume at the current pace.
Business/Trade name have been approved and filed for an EIN. I'm going to open a business bank account, so I can run the cost of the Qlik software through there. I made a logo too. I feel so nervous. I haven't really told anyone but no one cares anyway LMAO!! It's hard to explain unless you're familiar. Now I just need them to send me their data so I can draft out something. I'm going to follow up by the end of the week if I don't hear anything. The sample data I found didn't really do what I wanted, but I could finesse it some. Better to have the real shyt though lol.
The other role finally fell through and I honestly don't feel they would have told me unless I reached out to them.
Been refining my resume some based on a few roles that came through and I'll pick this shyt back up in February. At least I have a distraction.

BoA just randomly closed one of my credit cards with no alert or nothing WTF!!!
This was one of my oldest cards and I had a 50k Limit on it and now its just gone!?!?! wow F these companies for real. If inactivity was an issue at least send a notification, because I have had cards I didnt use that I got notification on and just set up a reoccurring bill on it,.

How long had you gone not using it?
Maybe a year, I have had other cards I didn't use for much longer and they at least sent a warning. Man this hurts, thats 50k of credit just gone.

Wow. That's not even a long time. It usually takes years for them to shut it down.
the email said they are sending a letter. I think they probably getting tight on credit they giving out but still I had the cars since 2007. If my job didnt have perks with BoA and my checking account I would close everything I got and just go to Wells Fargo since my mortgage is there.
But you weren’t even using it. I mean I get the impact on the overall score/history, but you weren’t using it lol.
that 50k counts towards my available credit which is a factor in Credit Utilization.
Yeah, but only if you’re actually using it. Again, I understand why you’re peeved, I just don’t think you should be. Definitely sucks though.
Got my raise 
Got a Zoom interview on Monday. IT Engineer at a startup. It’s weird that it’s a zoom call with the recruiter and not phone call first though.
