Will requesting a credit line increase impact my score? I got a raise at work and updated my income on my card profile.

Assuming you get approved and you don’t increase your current balance, your utilization should drop so your score should increase.

I’m in the same both but BoA isn’t increasing my limit at the moment. Gonna give is a couple months before requesting for an increase. If they don’t play ball I’ll apply for a CC elsewhere. Debt free anyway so not really tripping but my available credit line is on the low side.

Gamestop shenanigans aside, I just rearranged some of my 401k positions. Had about 50% in company stock due to the match. I split that between two other options that are actually making gains :skip:. I ought to be fully vested within the next week or two actually, so now I can comfortably get out of here without leaving that money on the table.

Gonna have to pull an all nighter to knock out this side project :francis:

This African based project has been good and has given me some really good exposure to a firm doing some interesting work on ground but I’d be lying if I didn’t say I bit off more than I could chew, even in a pandemic.

Most of this was caused by new role though. Kinda tough to take on a side project when you’re starting a new role and learning the ropes. Should have taken this project on at my last job, I was coasting there, especially after the pandemic.

Regardless, I now have an “in” so to speak for when I start plotting my way back.

Tomorrow is gonna be brutal, thankfully I have a half day.

Trying to ramp up for this new team. I attended a scrum call and they asked the status of my environment setup.

Nobody has even told me what the application is that I'll be working on. How am I expected to set up an environment? It looks like I'm getting ready to go from a a group of seasoned, capable, yet incapable developers to a group of seat-of-the-pants "kids". I know the mediocre white person is a mainstay of this company, but Jesus, I hope I didn't move towards the lower tier of them.

I got another 4 years before that happens. :francis:

Finalized my 2021 goals this past weekend. Now till summer is probably my best window to knock a lot of things off my list.

Once summer comes and this vaccine is more widespread the time savings of WFH and having things closed will dissipate quickly.

Another period of head down and grinding is afoot.

If I leave the company at the end of my contract I get the full stock payout in a lump sum.

If I interview with them for an FTE position, get a written offer, but turn it down, then I lose that money.

If I get a written offer and accept it, then I’ll get the payout in chunks over time until summer 2023. But I’ll have to stay working there until then. It’s a good company though.
