I've never understood it, no one is taking away from the achievements of the NOI but it always seems to bother them that Malcolm and Khalid resonated with people ....

Personally I feel the NOI was set up by the FBI. It's no surprise the 2 prominent members that started doing "too much" are RIP. Thats just my opinion, not tryna shyt on the NOI

but lets be real, any "worthy" black organization has been torn down completely by the powers that be. UNIA, BPP, MOVE etc etc

Nah, breh, everybody don't know. You can go over there to the Malcolm/MLK thread, and everybody is upping Malcolm talking about what Malcolm this and Malcolm that.... and not a mention at all of Elijah Muhammad, the one that Malcolm was getting all his orders from.

And don't be obtuse breh. The reason people were bringing up X is because they were comparing him to MLK, who was the other major "civil rights" icon at the time. Anyone who even knows anything about X knew he began by always saying "The honorable Elijah Muhammad teaches us....."

Honestly there's wasn't even a reason for you to bring up X in this thread. Elijah's contributions can stand on his own. It's the same shyt nikkas do every MLK day. They argue about why don't we have Malcolm X day and call King a c00n when every year we have a birthday for Malcolm X and nikkas don't even remember to post anything about him.

Well breh, from what I know about what Malcolm was doing in Africa, that still wasn't causing that much of a fuss.

I can prove it with this one simple statement: Most of the cats on this site had NO IDEA that the Nation of Islam under the leadership of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad accomplished so much.

Why didn't they know it?

Because they've been looking at the history of black people in America through the lense of white supremacy, which "conveniently" leaves that part out.

Go back to my first few posts in this thread and look back over what the Nation accomplished, and then you come back and tell me what reason any of them would have had to be "jealous" over Malcolm.

I mean, they PUSHED him out there hard.

Then they tried to erase all information about Elijah Muhammad and what he accomplished.

The whole reason Malcolm was killed was because the government wanted to be able to attach that to the Nation of Islam and deter people from joining the Nation.

They tried their best to attach the assassination of Malcolm to the Nation.... when the members of the Nation weren't even allowed to carry weapons.

Malcolm was tricked out of the Nation. Yes, there were government infiltrators, a LOT of them. And they got up in positions of power, and used their influence to get Malcolm thinking that he "should be the leader" and they kept pushing that on him, until he started to think they were right.

Then when the Honorable Elijah Muhammad sat him down for the comment regarding the assasination of JFK, his ego was in play by then.

He already felt that he should be in charge, and then to be sat down for 90 days??? That pushed him over the edge and he finally left.

And that's what the American government, FBI and all of them, were trying to make happen in the first place. Then once he got outside the Nation, they were free to do whatever they wanted to him...

Smh.

That may not have been the intent but that's exactly how it came across. Which is why instead of people talking about how great Elijah Muhammad was anf focusing on the fact he did some of the same things we discuss on this site constantly (group economics, us educating ourselves, us controlling our politics, etc) we're having petty arguments about Malcolm X and why he left the NOI.
