So whenever someone talks about Malcolm, they try to throw negative stuff out there about Elijah Muhammad.... but heaven forbid somebody try and set the record straight, huh?

:beli:

Please show me a thread (other than this one) where people are discussing Malcolm and then try to shyt on Elijah Muhammad.

where is a reliable source for malcolms dealings in africa? :ohhh:
a good reference point is the thread i made, i made a previous thread on the old board pin pointing the major players

Malcolm made a second, longer African trip from July to November 1964, visiting a string of countries where he met a range of intellectuals and political figures. In Egypt, he spoke at the OAU conference and talked with Nasser; in Ghana, he met Kwame Nkrumah, Shirley DuBois and Maya Angelou; in Tanzania, Abdulrahman Mohamed Babu and Julius Nyerere; in Kenya, Oginga Odinga and Jomo Kenyatta. The international dimension was crucial to his thinking in the final months. In mid-December, he invited Che Guevara—in New York for the celebrated UN General Assembly speech—to address an OAAU rally

Check the names, remember this is Africa in the 60s, you aint gotta be told about the assassinations of the leaders of the newly independent African countries during the 60s

OP do you think Elijah Muhammad was responsible for any black men being killed?

No I don't. But the Muslims would defend themselves if attacked. There was an incident that happened back in the thirties, if I'm not mistaken...

When the police arrested the Muslims and had them all in the courthouse. Something popped off, and the police drew on them... and started shooting.

The Muslims fought back.

When it was all said and done, not one Muslim had been shot, some of the police had shot each other accidentally, and the judge passed out dead from a heart attack.

That wasn't even the intent of the thread. The message of this thread was to share information, and to let ppl know that they've been giving another man's credit to the wrong man.

That's all. If people still want to support Malcolm, that's your prerogative. All I'm saying is, get informed on what really went down.

Wha'ts wrong with that?

Well breh, from what I know about what Malcolm was doing in Africa, that still wasn't causing that much of a fuss.

Breh, you're looking at this stuff through what somebody else already said: The historical lense of white supremacy. They rewrote this history, mane!

A lot of stuff that you're hearing now isn't even how everything went down.

I can prove it with this one simple statement: Most of the cats on this site had NO IDEA that the Nation of Islam under the leadership of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad accomplished so much.

Why didn't they know it?

Because they've been looking at the history of black people in America through the lense of white supremacy, which "conveniently" leaves that part out.

Breh, how is me posting the accomplishments of the Nation taking a dump on Malcolm?

I'm showing you where Malcolm got what he had from!

And then you want to insinuate that there's some jealousy or something like that...

Go back to my first few posts in this thread and look back over what the Nation accomplished, and then you come back and tell me what reason any of them would have had to be "jealous" over Malcolm.

Because he got a stamp?

If anything, THAT proves my point. White ppl have never been shy about Malcolm X. They put out hundreds of thousands of books on him, put him on a stamp.

I mean, they PUSHED him out there hard.

Then they tried to erase all information about Elijah Muhammad and what he accomplished.

Now you tell ME which one they were more afraid of.

I for one have been aware of the achievements of Elijah and I think its right that you remind people of all that was acheived under him...... however all that Malcolm was disloyal talk I feel differently....

people disagree and leave organisations every day..... how the split was handled is what i disagree with..

was Elijah Mohammed perfect? ... no , he's just a man, he's human ...... but that doesn't take away from all his acheievements

was Malcolm perfect? no but that also doesn't take away from his central message and all the work he done for his people...

the same way you say the media is using Malcolm to shyt on Elijah seemed to be the same way you used Elijah to shyt on Malcolm... I may be wrong but thats how it came across when i read your post....

And while you're here I wanna ask you something..

i will never shyt on a mans belief system.....

but scientology? ....... please tell me all the rumours about starting auditing are fake.....

KungFu Fighting & kicks that are fast as Lightning
good thread

Its one that needed since Elijah's name and NOI/Farrakhan often get thrown in the dirt when mentioning Malcolm. (Whenever Farrakhan is mentioned on this site some idiot always brings up "well u know he killed malcolm" bullshyt, which is totally untrue, but they don't care about truth, their main goal is to cause division and confusion...no different than Cointelpro cacs)

With that being said this shouldn't turn into a Elijah/Farrakhan vs Malcolm X and his followers type of thread

All 3 men are/were great and we could learn a great deal from all of them

indirectly, mos def!!
the hanafi DC killings..Ugly!!!!

The hanafi killings had nothing to do with the Nation of Islam.

The Honorable Elijah Muhammad even spoke out about it at the time, and condemned that foolishness and he let the public know that that stuff had nothing to do with the Nation.

So you don't think Elijah Muhammad ordered for any Black man to be killed?
