Was it confirmed that he knew though? Or was it just X being salty over Elijah puttin him in timeout for not being loyal and goin too far so he wanted to do his own thing?

Who set him up to get smoked though? You think Elijah made the call?

Elijah never spoke any words to get X killed.

they usually would suspend people and bring them back if they didn't violate too much. Other people within the Nation didn't appreciate the loyalty,

but we have to remember that this is at a time that ALL black groups had Gov workers in them........... and those people were their to cause divisions. A man who wasn't working for the government was arrested and did a bunch of jail time but I believe the people who pulled the trigger were informants.

nothing to debate. im not saying he was a saint, im saying he was brought up in black empowerment, the same way 2pac was

Panafricanism got Malcolm killed. during the 6 months he spent in Africa the relations he built with leaders of africa particularly the president of tanzania who was assassinated a couple weeks after X. Research it, its too long to type

theres ALOT of X history that people dont know. i made a thread about it but it got about 4 replies

aren't you from the UK?

anyway , I seriously doubt pan africansim got him killed. Especially since the NOI has a history of linking up with pan africanist. the main pan africanist in modern times have linked up with them. African leaders have even dropped money on the Nation.

Do you just want to Diss Malcolm and not give him credit for Anything AT ALL?

No, breh, but I do want us to stop giving him the credit that belongs to another man.

When Malcolm was in the Nation and had decided to really follow the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, of course he did a lot of great things.... OF COURSE.

But Malcolm wasn't the only minister that was helping the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. There was Minister James Shabazz, Minister Lonnie Shabazz, there was Minister Farrakhan, there was Minister Abdul Karim.

All I'm saying is, let's put everything in context here.

the reason the Nation made such unlimited process was because it wasn't a "democracy". It was a dictatorship, in the sense of: One man made all the decisions.

The Honorable Elijah Muhammad was the one making the decisions, and when people didn't follow his orders, and it got back to him... he put them out.

But that was the reason the Nation made so much process. There wasn't any committees and a bunch of meetings before they made a move.

It was just Elijah Muhammad's word, and they moved on that - PERIOD.

wouldn't shock me. Good shyt fam.

I can understand X being disappointed in Elijah's hypocrisy with the secretaries (having suspicions is one thing, but the babies may have been the thing that put him over the top). Even with that you just can't ignore all of the other good things he was teaching, but that's hard for some to see their mentor being shady in saying one thing and doing another.

:aicmon: tl;dr

I thought the breh he met in prison woke him up, and through his self-education and later joining into the Nation he rose to be a leader.

I guess I'm wrong :beli:

:upsetfavre: and you got this from where? Oh the movie, right?

Which a quick google search will tell you wasn't accurate, and that it was actually Malcolm's family, his brothers and sisters, who were already following the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, that wrote letters to him and told him about the Nation.

Yea I'm from London, I thought we only resulted to that old chest nut in rap/gang debates. Is knowledge of self only restricted to black americans now? You fishing

Anyone can see I'm well learnt in this subject

Heres the thread i made that got a ridiculous amount of replies

http://www.thecoli.com/threads/omowale-malcolm-x.238288/

---------------------------------------

what he was doing OUTSIDE of the USA was under great obvservation by the CIA, not just what he was doing inside.

This is apparent when he was scheduled to visit France, French authorities wouldn't let him off the plane, GOVERNMENT authorities. one of Malcolms aids said 'at that point they knew there was a bigger threat than the NOI out there for malcolm.'

Research my brother and approach discussion without bias

this threads bs, his teachings didnt all come from elijah muhammad

Malcolm Xs father was a member of Marcus Garveys UNIA. he travelled around America setting up different chapters, his mum was a member too.

X was up on game before he got down withe the NOI. learn your history folks

Xs teachings mirrored Garveyism, what ultimately got him killed was his connections with African leaders.

Elijah Muhammad was a member of the UNIA too I believe
