That's how the GOP felt after 2012 but then Trump came along and took over the party. The Democrats will bounce back once Trump destroys the country but the question is how bad will it get over the next four years...

Have you seen this map? Unless they get themselves another Obama type figure I don't think they bounce back in four years

I think the pandemic broke a lot of peoples brains when people stayed home they went down a lot of right wing conspiracy theory rabbit holes and blame the Dems for Covid and locks downs

I knew plenty of seemingly smart rational people who’s brains were broken during Covid and now think vaccines don’t work or it was a hoax

Plus I think it made the right wing leaning podcasts even bigger because people had nothing to do for awhile and there was nothing to watch especially if you were into sports so young dudes were constantly getting fed podcast right wing and manosphere content
My cousin one of them, went from defund the police, black reform to talking abkut tranny books in preschools and covid vaccines causing spoons to stick to her

The smart move would have been Biden to drop out, and a proper primary been ran. Gone are the days of the incumbency bump, at least at POTUS. The American public are fickle and desperate for change. Harris did her best, but Biden would have gotten trounced. I think with an actual primary, a front runner would have emerged that could be more free to distance him/herself from Biden's administration in ways Kamala couldn't.
5 years ago they should have been finding a new younger candidate to groom and push. They tried playing us stupid with Biden.

Trump is a different animal he’s a once in a lifetime cult like candidate you can’t compare him to anyone else and think it will be similliar results

All of his mini me’s who will run in 28’ aren’t nearly as popular as him and will be way less tough a challenge then Trump was to beat

The Latino voting demographic was very different this time around. Might as well just call them white folks.

The GOP “controlled” the inflation narrative by promising tax cuts to the rich and tariffs on goods.

So either you arguing that these people are extremely stupid and misinformed or they must have had some other motivation to vote for trump :usure:
The GOP's argument for 3 years was that it was Biden and Harris fault. And it worked.

Dems sat there and didn't message on it at all for a long time. By the time they did, it was too late and they tried to blame price gouging. Nobody brought it except liberals.

Nikki Haley and Ron DeSantis did a better job talking about it than Dems. During the GOP town halls they partially blamed Trump (and rightfully so) for inflation. Incomptent Dems couldn't even do that.

Dems dont understand that this country is stupid. While they do well with educated voters, they do awful with non educated voters. Those are who likely to fall for misinformation, lies and will always vote against their own interest. And they determine elections. They can't just assume that people will understand when the GOP propaganda machine is so strong. They have to hold their hand and explain shyt to them like a 5 year old.

Give it 2 years and the public will go back to hating republicans because now they are in control and can’t run on the fact Dems are in control when shyt hits the fan…

The play right now is Dems control the house at least it will be 2 years of stalling…
So you don’t think laws will change to fukk with the chances of fair elections? genuinely asking

So Biden addressed the "problem" without legislation over a year before the election reducing border crossings 75% by this summer. Lower than it was 20 years ago, but yeah, "crisis".:yeshrug:
That’s after he saw how much damage he was doing to his standing. He acted to late.

I was saying this back then. Immigration is not a popular anywhere in this world. It’s Trumps strongest political stance. If Biden would’ve done something about immigration instead of making it worse he would have undercut Trump big time

Breh, there’s no way to argue that people were feeling hurt by the economy so they ran out to vote for the guy talking about increasing tariffs and canceling social economic programs.

That does not compute with reality.

I’m not letting you throw these people “ignorance” bail. They knew exactly who they were voting for and why, and it had NOTHING to do with the economy.

Latinos are middle class and made like a 33 point swing toward Trump.

The Dems let the GOP control the narrative on inflation for 3 years. They failed to come out with any strong messaging on it.

Another reason to hate Biden. He was literally too mentally gone to defend his economy and didn’t want to give that responsibility to Kamala.

If economic anxiety is the reason she lost, then ceding ground to Republicans on economy when you had a record setting stock market, lowest unemployment in decades, and rising wages was a grave error.

It used to drive me crazy when they just allowed the lie to spread that Trump’s economy was better. Eventually that lie became the truth. It’s the only argument Trump supporters offered.

:snoop: that's what got us here in the first place

"he's a reality TV show business guy he won't win"

"he's a criminal who started an insurrection he won't win"

Dems still think it's about the man when's it about the ideology. If another republican can come along with a polished version of the the Trump ideology will be right back here next election.
