From a basic human needs level it’s fukkin amazing compared to most of the world. So it’s hard to get a lot of those people who “would” vote dem, to go out and do it.

The middle class feels the squeeze. The middle class showed up and showed out for Kamala.

There’s just not enough of them to overcome the rich/hate vote.

Hell I didn’t think any of the podcasts even the popular ones moved the needle. But being 44 years old I guess I’m out of touch and still thought the high propensity voters including older people still got their political news the old fashioned way not through podcasts

The only thing I’d disagree with you on is Hassan. I don’t watch him or any streamers but the clips I see of him he sh1ts on Dems a lot and either tells his viewers don’t vote for them or do it reluctantly

I think all the top podcasts are right leaning. That’s where everyone is at. They’re not watching the mainstream media like people who are already plugged in. My ex doesn’t watch any news at all. But she is on TikTok all day. She voted for Trump, and when talking to her I can tell she’s been down the right wing rabbit hole, and because she doesn’t consume any sort of facts, she’s all on board, even though she says he’s a scumbag.

I think the pandemic broke a lot of peoples brains when people stayed home they went down a lot of right wing conspiracy theory rabbit holes and blame the Dems for Covid and locks downs

I knew plenty of seemingly smart rational people who’s brains were broken during Covid and now think vaccines don’t work or it was a hoax

The GOP “controlled” the inflation narrative by promising tax cuts to the rich and tariffs on goods.

It’s not like they didn’t have the opportunity. The DNC ran to traditional media. The content creators got looked over and they have to beg for months just to get some attention. AOC is probably the only one to really take advantage of new media.
