This. "Hannibal" should have, at the very least, been nominated in every major category. And it would've given "TD" a run for it's money in the directing category, too.

Let's make a separate thread to discuss that. Personally I don't think they're valid. Could he have worded some of that dialogue more in his voice? Yes, absolutely. But he didn't steal a story about two cops investigating a murder and how the case destroyed both their lies from Ligotti. All the plotting, dialogue, and character work was from Pizzolatto's head. Pizolatto is a hell of a writer. I think season 2 of True Detective is going to be amazing and silence a lot of the critics.

Heisenberg!!!! Yeah B!tch! Lol! Was glad to see Breaking Bad go out on top. This show definitely had one hell of a run. Will definitely go down as one of the greatest TV series of all time. Hopefully Better Call Saul will have the same success. Looking forward to seeing how that will turn out. =)

Just one more thing to add: That make out session between Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Bryan Cranston was pretty funny due to the history that they had on Seinfeld together! They have both come so far in their acting careers!Both are legendary if you ask me.

What is funny...is the biggest trepidation I had going into TD, was that Pizzolatto was writing it, and that is frightening, since he wrote a few episodes of The Killing, which to me is one of the outright worst written shows in the last decade...

Even sort of screwed up the ending to TD like The Killing to...

The folks at HBO have to be somewhat bitter that they passed on Breaking Bad... the fact that they've quickly snatched up a few of their writers, actors and directors from the show to work on their shyt says alot..

I woudn't be surprised if ttat was the main reason they wanted True Detective in the Drama category instead of the Mini Series one... they're so used to pushing the boundries as far as TV goes and Breaking Bad has pretty much changed how people watch TV series these days...
