If your are New Orleans do you max out Eric Gordon? The dude is madd talented but injury prone as f**k and glass. Once he came back from injury, the Hornets got hella better and starting beating teams like the Grizz, Utah, and bunch of other good team and were holding there own against superior competition. If they get that #1 draft pick and get Unibrow, they better give Gordon that max contract ASAP.

He's not worth the max but they might not have a choice

It's tough for teams like new Orleans to compete when they have to give Eric Gordon the same contract that okc gave westbrook or what Minnesota gave Kevin love

yea but it also seems like Gordon's heart isn't with the Hornets. Like a month or so ago, on NBA TV they were asking about the season and his plans after the season, and the first thing he said and talked about was free agency, but money talks so I do see him staying if they give him that max contract, but I do think in the back of his mind he wants to play for the Pacers though. But, if they do get someone like Davis or MKG or any of the top bigs, the Hornets might be onto something good because even though they lost a bunch of games, late into the season they were holding there own against the good teams.

Here is a update on the upcoming free agents:
steve-nash-deron-williams-2010-2-13-23-14-51.jpg

The Suns have started planning for life after Steve Nash if their two-time MVP opts to come to New York or heads to Toronto when he becomes a free agent on July 1.

Brooklyn fans — it’s strange to write that — won’t like it, but the Suns are going to go all out for Deron Williams.

The Suns’ first choice is to bring Nash back and have the greatest player in franchise history play his final game in Phoenix. They’re hopeful that a two-year, $20 million deal does the trick, and if they add a third season that would probably cinch it since it would take Nash through his 41st birthday.

But there has been enough buzz about Nash leaving the Suns, after he played his eighth season in Phoenix, that Phoenix has come up with a contingency plan for his exit. Going into this weekend, the Suns view the Knicks, Raptors and even the Nets as their biggest competitors for Nash’s services. They are operating under the assumption that Nash will not go to a contender, although he has interest in Miami, where he would have to accept a lot less money than he will get to stay in Phoenix.

“If they lose Steve, then they plan to go after Deron, hard,” said a person with knowledge of the Suns’ plans. “They know he loves golf and they’re going to try to sell him on going out there.
”

Meanwhile, the Mavericks remains the team the Nets have to fear more than any other when it comes to losing Williams. He’s been at the top of their free-agent wish list since before they won the title last June and owner Mark Cuban will “pull out all stops” to bring Williams home, according to a team source.
smh the fukk would D-Will wanna go to the fukkin' Suns for?

- By winning the lottery and putting themselves in line to get Anthony Davis with the No. 1 pick, the Hornets might be able to retain Eric Gordon , who was the key to the Chris Paul trade and is a restricted free agent. Gordon will be heavily pursued in free agency, but the Hornets intend to build around their shooting guard and the Kentucky one-year wonder. ... The Nets really gave up the No. 6 pick in this year’s draft as part of the Gerald Wallace deal? Not only did they do that, but they fully intend on seeing Wallace opt out of the final season of his deal, at almost $10 million, and then giving him a new three-year, $24-million deal that will take him through his 14th season. “After the Hornets, the next biggest winner on lottery night was Gerald Wallace,” said one team exec.
Billy King needs to be fired ASAP

220px-Dwight_Howard_2.jpg

- Dwight Howard’s parents and other family members want him to stay long-term in Orlando. He wants to leave. The Magic can’t decide whether it is going to move him or keep him. Yes, it’s still very much a soap opera, but that hasn’t stopped Nate McMillan from agreeing to interview for Orlando’s head coaching position. ...

Larry Brown didn’t invent the point guard position, but he knows more about it than anyone alive. So it’s no surprise to us that the former Knick coach is in the vast majority and views Jeremy Lin as strictly backup material

Not moving to Brooklyn: Kris Humphries has played his last game for the Nets, who have their eyes on Milwaukee’s Ersan Ilyasova , an unrestricted free agent.

They're gonna try to lure him based on golf? Too easy. :heh:

Suns stubborn as fukk just rebuild already!

I don't get the Suns?

Why are you trying to pay a 40 yr old pg 10 mill a year....for 3 years?

I think they have the most clueless ownership in the league today.

They should've started rebuilding after Amare left for the Knicks and Jason Richardson got shipped to Orlando

They've missed the playoffs something like 4 out of the last 5 years, but they come with the same ol plan every year.It seems like they don't care about contending for a ship...they'd rather settle for mediocrity and hope to become a cinderella team in the playoffs.

I hope Nash is peeping that shyt and bolts.

The Suns franchise is pathetic. It's sad, they used to be one of the best
