They're finally doing what I said they should

When dumb dumb decided to opt in he fukked himself. Now all NJ has is the MLE next year. How bad you wanna go Dwight?

Dwight has ZERO leverage to force anything to the Nets

Who the fukk do you think you are, bringing in rational thoughts to this thread? :wtb:

Why do some of you cats get personally invested in moves made by professional teams?

So because a blockbuster hasn't been made in a timely manner .. the organization is dumb? No. Let me tell you what would make my organization "dumb" ... signing and trading for Lopez coming off a missed year to a max contract. Or how about trading for an injury prone Andrew Bynum and throw him the max while we're at it?

Relax. Act as if this nikka Dwight dont even exist. A deal will be struck before you know it.

lol they gonna have to make the same move come trade deadline might as well do it now

Maybe. But hopefully .. if it takes that long for Dwight to open up the list of teams he'd resign with, then so be it. You cant force a team to trade you where you want to go, and force your (soon to be) old team to take back garbage at the same time. (Although thats exactly what Dwight's been trying.)

As good as having Dwight would have been, they're still in good position. Most of yu are underrating Lopez. Yea compared to Howard he's average but he's still a very good center.

Nobody is underrating him, we're just saying he doesn't deserve a max contract and shouldn't be a centerpiece of a trade involving a superstar player.

word because he has such a history of injury troubles :beli:

See you in January.

Yea.. by that time you'll have Dwill, Crash, Brook and JJ with about 8-9 Arman Gilliam type dudes on your team. I'm sure Orlando will take all of that garbage to accommodate Dwight in a sign and trade. :heh:

While I agree in theory, that relies on banking on the mental stability of Dwight :usure:

Dude could be in a NJ press conference right now if he just played it quiet and opted out, what's to stop him from signing a 3 year extension in December then claiming he was black mailed @ the deadline?

I had to wiki Jerry Stackhouse's age after I heard he got another contract and I found this quote:

"I think it's just about having personalities that mesh and I think Chris (Paul) is such a great guy, I think he's been able to kind of deal with Byron Scott. I don't think Byron Scott is the best coach or I don't think he's the best guy to deal with – you know what I'm sayin? – from some things that I've heard from other players and just some dealings that I had with him earlier in the season. I was about ready to kick his ass – you know what I'm sayin? He was sitting on the sideline and we just got into a little conversation or something and he was going to tell me, you know, 'Talk to me when you get a ring.' I was like, I told that fool, 'If I played with Magic and Worthy and Kareem I'd have a ring, too. So, you know, he's a sucker in my book, but that's a whole other story."[1]

:dead: Why don't I remember this?

Giving Lopez A Max Would Be The Nail In The Coffin For Any Chance Of Dwight Going To BK, Who In Their Right Mind Would Trade For That?

No they won't Hawks never had a superstar. Their best players is probably the Nets third best player, literally.
