The statement "have premiums gone up because of [the] ACA" is a red herring because PREMIUMS ALWAYS GO UP. So don't even mention it. The rate of increase - again - is more important.
Do you understand the function of a high deductible plan? Do you even understand that the high deductible plan with a health savings account is a republican free market proposal? It's entire purpose is to force you, the consumer, to consume less health resources by forcing you to be more accountable in the health market place and shoulder more of the health costs.
Of course deductibles have increased when the ACA demands better benefit packages across the board. No longer can insurers give you a catastrophic plan and still hit you with medical blls that force you into bankruptcy
So of course deductibles have increased when insurance companies have to pay from their own pockets once you hit your limit.
