Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa have won the WWE Tag Team championships by defeating A-Town Down Under on the July 5th episode of Friday Night SmackDown. As they defeated Austin Theory & Grayson Waller again one week later to retain their titles, they will have to put it on the line against Jacob Fatu & Tama Tonga of The Bloodline this Friday, August 2nd. It will be DIY’s second title defense, as Jacob Fatu & Tama Tonga have won a Gauntlet match last week to become the n°1 contenders.
Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn will defend the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles against the former champions in Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill. Unholy Union have won the championships at Clash at the Castle and they have successfully defended it against Lash Legend & Jakara Jackson last Tuesday during the first night of NXT The Great American Bash 2024. It will also be their second title defense this Friday on SmackDown.
