The Bulls could have traded him for a trash package if they really wanted to. They didn't want to.
Are you expecting Detroit to trade Cade to Chicago?
Clearly, he was on his way to Detroit. That's why we're here.
Because if not, then both of these statements can't be true.
Detroit didn't need to give up Cade to get Zach. Bogdonavic and filler and 2nds or a protected 1st would have been enough for them to get LaVine.
Bulls weren't getting a blue chip guy from Detroit, they were just negotiating and trying to finesse.

All these teams flaming out of the playoffs with high expectations give me hope that AK might be able to flip LaVine for something this summer.

It's a fact. Playoffs been a bloodbath for folks and the landscape is changing. The legends (KD,Steph, Bron) won't have the chokehold they once did and some teams might see Zach as a 1b piece. Throw in Caruso and it could put a team from first round tough out to Conference Final contender.All these teams flaming out of the playoffs with high expectations give me hope that AK might be able to flip LaVine for something this summer.
