Stankey is right. These cats that want to hold on to a business model that is not feasible in this current covid environment are delusional. Love Nolan, but he needs to fall back. Refusing to adjust to a changing climate is how COUNTLESS companies have ended up dying.

Plus Nolan would have more of a leg to stand on if the public demanded that the theaters be open again just like how they're furious that, outside of the south, people can't sit down and enjoy a meal at a restaurant nor or attend a live sporting event because of Covid. Too me this is the low key elephant in the room. If feels like 85% of people are down for streaming and gobbling up their own snacks in the comfort their living rooms these days.

Can't speak to the deal, but HBO Max is by far the worst viewing interface I've come across in terms of digital streaming

• No option to skip to the very next episode
• No option to jump to any other episode or any other season
• No option to skip ahead 30 seconds
• If/when the episode crashes or you have to restart it, it starts you at the first episode you started watching. So, if you knocked out 3 episodes, you have to manually drag to the end of the episode 3x to get to where you were

TBH, I just jump in and out of streaming services based on new shows being released, but their experience is among the WOAT.

I have a 40 inch but I binge on my laptop so that I can watch @ 2x speed. Here's a screenshot with all of the missing pieces I mentioned

No Skip button, they have extras instead of links to other episodes at the bottom, etc

My bad I thought you said intro skip but still why do you want a episode skip button? Netflix doesn't even have that or the episode list on the bottom unless it's on their web version?

AT&T/Warner tried it Nolan's way. They released TENET in theaters straight up. It bombed. I like Nolan as much as the next person but it flopped.

You can’t even pause a movie or tv show to see something without the menu and title of the movie blocking half the screen.

Nolan crashed a real plane for Tenet and the audience said

He doesn't hold as much weight as he think he does. Lucas and Spielberg predicted this shyt in 2012, Rona just sped things up. Nolan wants things to be one way, but it's the other way.

That said WB could've handled this better.

HBO Max UI is easier to navigate than HULU, Prime Video and Disney+ and it just came out. Your list of concerns with the UI don't bother me at all

Given your platform (Windows-PC) I feel like you have everything need

HBO Max just needs 4K, Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision (which they said they will be getting)

I watched Tenet on my 75inch Samsung with Dolby sound just fine
I'll be watching each hbo max film just like that

You might have to worry about Legendary blocking Kong and Dune

I watch using Chromecast from my phone and share the concerns @Macallik86 raised.

Can’t skip the intro, which is annoying whilst binge watching.
Can’t go directly from the episode I’m watching to a list of its episodes (have to search for the show )
Can’t skip to the next episode (if I watched a few episodes at a friend’s house and can’t remember which episode I’m on I may start at episode 4 realize I’ve seen it and just want to skip to the next on... it’s a pain in the ass from the HBO app)
