I worked a plant job for about 3 years here in Louisiana and be warned to any nikkas who are not from the south which I’m originally from Cali, you will be tested by the filth of the cac population. These cacs are trash, racists and ignorant as fukk. They make a lot of bread so they think that validates them among other non construction whites but they simply white trash

I’ve worked pipeline before. 7 days a week 12 hours a day. This was for natural gas not oil. You make a lot but your body is tired as fukk, you get confused what day is what, you have no time for nothing but eating and sleeping after work.

6 days a week 12 hour days is great for making money. Having a day off to wash clothes and run errands and rest is key.

If your broke Ass is making less than 20$hr and you have no family tying you down you have no excuse.

These CACs go out there when they are in their 20’s and stack paper and make connections. By 30 they sitting on 400k and start their own businesses or get married and work regular 9-5 jobs.
Yep let it be a stepping stone. But nooooo what are we pushing ourselves to do? Go to college and drown in debt by the time you graduate. You're making 70k a year but it's technically 40k because Sallie Mae and Uncle Same have their hands in your pockets. But hey your parents can brag about you having a degree.

Yeah oil field work is work and yes it's tiring but you're not supposed to spend 40 years out there.

Or you can get scholarships or grants instead of loans & not have student debt when you graduate

I watched the a similar video a couple days ago, might have been the same one. Been thinking about driving trucks in the field. There was this brehette on there who was doing it and getting bread. I believe she left and got her own truck now. Dunno if she still does field work.

Hours are long and the weather is always bad, you're outside for loading and unloading, but it pays very well from what I've heard.

Non CDL people can eat real good too, but it's even harder because you are outside the whole time.

Touche' but you'd be surprised at how many folks are not properly coached on how to get grants and scholarships. Don't misunderstand my post....folks get touchy when you talk down on college but the fact is there a ton of folks out here suffering with college debt...so it can't be as simple as landing a scholarship or a grant. The ball is getting dropped somewhere. To me college isn't for everybody...scholarships or grants be damned. Some folks would be better suited in a trade, where they could go for a lower price...wouldn't even need to sweat scholarships, grants nor loans and make as much if not more money if they apply a hustle attitude.

It's amazing how frowned upon having that mentality is, though. Like some folks look at you like you told them you wanted to ax off your own arm instead of having a waffle breakfast when you tell them everybody isn't suited for college. It's true, though.
