drop knowledge here and there on the youth, they can use what they want out of it..trick is not to come across lecturing, judgmental that just backfires and you lose em. never been a fan of the foot in the ass approach anyway
I saw chuck d wife one time cause she's from cali and her and immortal technique both was doing a conference at the local college and they was speaking the same shyt..
Chuck and the real wise rappers spitting knowledge
Sounds dope, what were they discussing? Or was it an elaboration upon this topic?
They was discussing housing discrimination for single black and latino women with kids... how black and latino men think knowledge is trying to prove your toughness with fighting and killing instead of knowledge with there head...technique was saying there's nothing more scarier to the corporate executive than a dangerous minority with a brain..
They harp on this subject as well asthey discuss women who treat there kids like friends instead of there children..
Real deep
Enough is never enough..... if you ever start making big money you'll witness how little you have as you move in certain circles...trust me
Why should they help anyone ? Where was their help when they started ?
They really aren't in a position to change anything long term.......
Songs will NOT fix kids out of wedlock, police brutality or help kids create products and services/technology to enrich the black community
So why bother ?
Your ideals and beliefs reek of discontent and disappointment........why can't you be grateful that a "Jay-Z" even exist ?
Nas is an artist with a failed marriage and nowhere near financially secure .....
At what point does hiphop become greater than your personal life ?
The sheer level of thanklessness in this genre is disgusting .....
Jay should sell out even more and milk this sh!t for every single cent .......
Chill b. This is a bait thread.
The entire mainstream hip-hop is a fukking fraud. Broke rappers talk intelligence and realness cos that's their last resort, when you ain't poppin, of course you gonna preach "I was bout that street smarts anyways" shyt.
Once you get the chance to get some of that money, you're quick to jump on that 808 kick snap snare radio single.
Gotta pay the bills yo
Danny Browns album The Hybrid had that vibe to me (XXX too, but thats when he really started using the high voice).I need a 35 yr old rapper to rap about strugglin to find a job, then a temp service hires you, then 3 months later, the company hires you on.
I wanna hear a rapper rap about needing to borrow $10 from their wife so they can put gas in the car to make it to work.
fukk it. I'ma be that nikka.
It'd be an autobiography
Im shocked too.Danny Browns album The Hybrid had that vibe to me (XXX too, but thats when he really started using the high voice).
Which is why I fukk w/ it heavy.
A dope rapper talking about relateable shyt can make a strong fan base...I dont know why you dont see more of them.
Im shocked too.
Seems like most rappers are content on rappin about shyt nikkaz fantasize about.
I might have to peep some of Danny Brown's music
Chuck speaks the truth once again
I already said that rappers have a serious case of Peter Pan syndrome...that coupled with a historically negative display of black male stereotypes creates a dangerous situation. Hip hop is the only genre of music where it's artists aren't trying to mature.
that's their fanbase tho... there's a universal problem with rap... that problem is the 30 year old fanNone of the artist you mentioned are purposely making music for teens tho. Its moreso them pandering to they core base. nikkas on the block/ratchet hoes. If you wanna say hey grow up then fine. But stop saying they making music so they can get a teenage fanbase
