this post coming from the guy that was convinced yesterday we were trading the pick for a ā€œhaulā€ :skip:
Iā€™m passing info along Iā€™ve seen I stand by my stance thatā€™s what I would have done.

Gotta go Offense at 9. You committed to a rookie qb, we aint winning the sb next year anyway make sure breh has tools via WR or can stay upright via OT

Its fukked up JF came into such a piss poor situation but the game is the game :yeshrug: he can bounce back
I would go with defense imo, they need to get turner

Bears are going to ruin this kid with horrible defensive coaches. He needs to holdout and get to Denver or Minny

ruin him when they just got him two #1 level WRs, just drafted a stud/franchise OT, got a high end TE, signed a dynamic RB with good, young depth behind him :skip:

they loaded up for this moment so he has all the tools and still have that 9th pick to use

werent you hyping up lil Bryce last season? :picard:

Caleb being setup with ...

RBs: Swift, Roschon, Herbert
WRs: DJ, Keenan
TE: Kmet, Everett
OL: Darnell, Teven, Nate, Braxton

and a ready to compete defense ... the foudation is here

if Braxton takes another step it would be HUGE for this team. We still need another pass rusher opposite Sweat, otherwise the defense is set

Really curious how #9 plays out - we could use pass rusher, OT(?), WR (less with Keenan but still need a long term fit with Caleb)

if Odunze is there, I think its a must take and you dont have to worry about WR for anytime in Calebs forseeable future
but we really need a pass rusher - is Turner is there, I think hes a take

Im less on the need for OL, I think the OL is sufficient, but Braxton is replaceable if a franchise OT is out there - I think the OL looks better without Fields, holding the ball created a lot of unnecessary heat

Not sure if Iā€™m cool with the trade or against itā€¦ almost indifferent

But itā€™s wild how non-bears fans keep hopping in all these threads telling us congrats like they followed us all season to know this was the right move

While a majority of the bears fanbase is pissed
Lol

Bears fans know that Justinā€™s development was fukked from day one with the situation he walked into. His talent is there, the timing was bad in Chicago. He came to a broken roster with a lame duck coach and front office. The odds were stacked against him. Then Poles maneuvered to the top pick and a chance to reset the clock with someone that has been considered one of the greatest QB prospects ever. It was an impossible situation for Justin to win in. Heā€™s a good dude, with talent and good leader qualities. Hopefully he can figure it out starting in Pittsburgh, heā€™ll still have a ton of fans here if he does

so while the outlook is bright here, itā€™s still disappointing to see another failed QB leave our city, and one that we largely never setup to success fully (and thatā€™s not on Poles, it was from the past coaching/front office imo)

I DEFINITELY TAKE A WR AT 9

Same. We're not likely getting MHJ but this draft class is LOADED with talented receivers so we should be able to draft someone damn good.

if Nabers or Odunze fall to 9, they are both instant, BPA takes at 9 - both are top 5 pick talent, first WR off the board prospects IMO

its going to be super interesting how the draft shakes out

its well assumed at this point 4 QBs go top 8
MHJ also top 8 obviously, along with an OT going top 8 (almost certain Titans take OT)

thats 6 - we would need to hope ATL goes Dallas Turner (top pass rusher) ahead of us - then that frees up either Nabers or Odunze

if they both go - a trade down to mid-late first, getting a 2nd attached and going pass rusher / WR in trade back 1st & acquired 2nd is the move

still a month + to go, a lot can change

I still wouldn't be surprised if they trade the pick still and take Daniels or Maye. This is the Bears we talking about

I fully expect Justin to beat out Russ for that starting job. Poles better hope this shyt hits or he outta here
