No, the flag doesn't mean anything other than the fact it was chosen to represent the National Socialist German Worker's Party. It was a symbol of the nazi party.

Because some members in the party did some very bad things and because a lot of the nazis preached hateful rhetoric, they associate the swastika as well as the nazi flag as an evil symbol.
