Yea I said there’s an occasional project, but whereas NJS was THE sound most the popular people made, the majority of people now aren’t doing old sounds.
What? Many top artists now do songs that have a retro/old school vibe (and not from one particular genre or decade).

Also, it's not just "occasional projects".

It's very of it's time as much as I hate that phrase but anything is possible and it would be a better sound than a lot fo what is being pumped out now at least in terms of the mainstream.

People were mad at Bruno for doing that while somebody should’ve piggybacked off that song and did their own version of it… they could’ve also added Cardi if they wanted to. Finesse is a good song and sounds like it could fit seamlessly into a NJS mix. Artists are too cool to do this type of music now :yeshrug:

Yes, a song. Where is a cluster of top artists all doing one old sound en mass? Again, people make an occasional song or project, that doesn’t equate to particular sound from the past becoming the sound of the present. This thread is saying can NJS become a wave again like it was in the 90’s - no. Can a couple of artists make a song apiece? Sure, but you’re not gonna see 6-10 artists majoring full NJS projects like the 90s

You asked a question and then provided the proof that it can come back by naming a recent new jack song by Bruno :dead:

Well, I guess there was a misunderstanding. Yeah, it's unlikely that there will be another new jack swing "wave" like in the late '80s and early '90s.
