I'm curious though because I see a lot of talk from gamers justifying it. One would think they'd be the first to carry pitchforks over news like this but they've been a lot more accepting than I thought
Contrary to popular belief, gamers take a lot of shyt and do a lot of empty wolfing. They accept micro-transactions, half baked games, buggy games, and all other kinds of bullshyt just like the average person.
People love bringing up inflation for one thing (prices for games) but not other things (stagnant wages). Games are no more expensive now than they were 6 years ago. Revenue and profits are higher than ever for these companies. You got a few games with massive budgets (which recuperate their cost hand over fist) and suddenly every game needs to be overpriced.
A game like NBA 2K21 does not need to go up on price. It’s the same shyt each year with minor updates to gameplay and the roster. Guarantee we get the same shytty gameplay we’ve been getting for the past 6 years in the ps5 and Series X version.
