Dear lawdddd chapter 7 piffery. :whoo:

Also handheld mode while an abysmal resolution, once you're engrossed in the game it's not that bad. My son took over my TV and I put in a lot of time in handheld this weekend and it didn't detract from the fun I was having.

i've been fukking on not doing anything in chapter 4 for like two days :dead: level 35 :dead: just handing out fades to every monster that made me take a detour so far

:mjlol: I love when they yell out to the other beasts to bring in another wave, and I just:demonic: every last one of them.

Won't lie tho, I was fighting wave after wave once and unfortunately I was at the edge of a cliff :deadrose: you know the rest.

I like handheld mode at in game night time. Looks decent enough.

Don’t grind enemies to level up. Fight em if they’re in your way by all means but it’ll go slow that way. Side quests. Main quests. Filling out affinity etc will be a lot faster. Don’t forget to rest at inns for bonus XP. I’ve level 53/57 depending on character. Prolly leveled up during gameplay like 3-4 times.

Every other time was at an inn.

Just hit a 1.7 million damage four elemental full burst to kill this boss :wow:

He was bout to wipe 2 party members I️ hit that plus button and he got that WORK!

:wow: some of these end battles are really satisfying.

Also this Empire is a pretty good place for salvaging. There's a cylinder shop with normal/silver and gold. and a salvaging point out in the field just before you get to the elevator with an easy A A A combo to get some nice goods and monsters that provide rare and common core crystals. Any normal blades, I just release and rack up the boosters. I only have one normal blade that I got really early in the game, can't release her, and she's a good healer.

I️ keep some around. Mainly cause in later chapters there are points where you have to have some of those higher level affinity powers unlocked. Like say level 3 Fire Mastery.

Thing is if you have three blades with level one fire mastery engaged it’ll just stack them and still work. So instead of going back and buying 20 desserts or something to get one blade to fire mastery 3 I just pulled 3 no name goons out to do it lol.

What do y'all think about having 2 blades with the same weapon on one character? :patrice:

Seems like it could be a waste, or nah?

I had the thought earlier that this could be the goat battle system in a jrpg. :ohhh:

If not its definitely one of the best

Oh Kay it's easier to lure an enemy away from more enemies so you can single them out.

Also the battle sounds the team make doesn't bother me, I've gotten used to it in other RPGs this isn't new.
How close do you have to be to lure enemies?

I tried but it wasn' working too well.

Also...some enemies just ignore me ... so that does mean all of them don't wanna mark me? :dahell:

They just let a nikka pass :hubie:

isn't this just a hack and slash button mashing game?
lol no. probably the deepest battle system of the year

its an extension of the ATB that final fantasy used to run, but way more complex

you could do it, but i don't feel like you should

i'm always looking to line up driver combos when i can and it feels to me that running two of the same weapon types on the same character would be limiting in that regard

but if you can make it work, make it work

i'm starting to notice people build towards certain ways of damage versus others and its still too early for me to really commit to any one way of doing business yet.
