It was a little hard to follow at first with the 3 levels and using the right element and right level in the right order, and understanding how the tree branches in the top right and what seal effects you'll get.

Even tutorial videos from big name publications didn't seem to fully understand it.

I have it down pat now.

The other level to it is if you hit someone with say a 3rd level combo and it's like wind element. Then the enemy is going to have a wind element resistance bubble. But if you use you're chain attack you will se which elemental bubbles the enemy has and if you specifically chain attack against that element you can burst the elemental protection on the enemy and do crazy damage to them. So you can engineer combos to land on different elements for maximum damage then potentially burst all the bubbles with a chain attack after.

I just laid 119,000 chain attack with 3 elemental bursts down on a boss, (won't spoil don't know where everyone is in the game) and it felt so good :ahh:
How do you select different elements

So far I have

Rex:
Kora
Perun
Wulfric
Story blade I won't spoil

Nia:
Adenine
Floren
Azami

New party member:
Perceval
Ursula

Like I said RNG has been very good to me where I can have almost my entire party with all ATK, HLR and TNK loadouts.

Lol each of my party members all have at least one healer. Only one tank so far and thankfully it was for my tank party member
Are you farming cores?

I've used every core I've gotten I'm like level 45-49 with my characters only found 6 rares lol.

Luckily my superior strategically minded gameplay sees me through :youngsabo:

What chapter you in?

Right bumper let's you select different enemies. Left on the d pad while in battle makes everyone focus on one target

I've only been opening the cores I find naturally through gameplay. I still have about 50 unopened common cores.

I just started Chapter 5 but have decided to try and clean up some side quests first and try and grow my blade's affinity charts.

There is one side quest in Gormott that has you tracking foot prints and they go from human foot prints to wolf prints to giant foot prints. Track them to an area and a level 91 unique monster busts out the wall and kills my party in one hit :mjlol:

Damn I’m almost at the end(assuming)of chapter 6 and my Rex is 43. My highest character is 50 and I have 7 rares. Not one healer.

I just bought this today.

I traded in Skyrim VR which I got for free and got $30 for it.

I also had a $5 off coupon.

I trade it in some old ass games that I beat already then I only had to pay $1.09 for it :lawd:

Man idk if it should be called in chapter 6 but if this game doesn’t royally drop the ball somewhere it may be a classic :wow:

This game remind of like if you could play in FFIX pre-rendered backdrops in full real time. It has like what a ps1 rpg could’ve looked like without the hardware limitations vibe.

It’s not a perfect analogy but gives me that feel. But the deep systems. Great writing. Themes. Giant world. Quests that have real ties into what’s actually goin on currently. Dialog changes depending what you just did. (One random soldier who got that work was guarading a hallway and he was like yo you should see the doctor bills from that asswhoopin you gave me, Im like oh shyt you were one of those dudes huh lol) the depth of the blade system combined with accessories and Mercs and the affinity and his all the resources tie into everything. Plot and lure is awesome. Characters motivations and developments are awesome and clear and touch on real life dilemmas a lot. Politics religion resources land power love sacrifice more and more. The way they have these countries and rulers and parties and cultures set up is crazy. Oh and the MUSIC. Takes a lot to impress me on an RPG soundtrack and this shyt is DOPE.

:wow: Rex's growth at the end of chapter 3. Malos has to die, there's just no other way around it.

when Rex asked the old human/blade hybrid to make a play in honor of Vandham :mjcry: hope there's a side quest for that at the end of the game

Guess the title screen changes with your progress in the game. I like little things like that. also I managed to get Nia a rare blade. And just gave her the beastly core crystal.

:mjlol: the rare blade Nia pulled tho. I just said "you gotta be fukking kidding me"

the DOA beach volley ball physics on this one right here. and the pole spin for good measure.

Really loving this game tho.

Apparently Rare blades have their own mini side quests.

She just randomly ran out and started zapping everyone. Got depressed and ran off. Completing it fully can unlock her lvl 5 special.

I think I might have got one for Perceval. He just randomly stepped to some thugs and was like "let's split up, let me take care of them"
All of today I'm dedicating to go fishing side quests. No story quests at all for now

I believe Xenoblade X was 12 chapters. This game is probably just as long.

80 hours.
