finally got a rare blade
breh that shyt happened to me last night
"just gonna finish this sidequest real quick"
*ends up on new continent and 7 hours have passed*
Found my first "secret area"
Also pulled yet another rare blade from a common crystal. That makes 6 now from common crystals and 1 from rare
So far I haveWhich one you get?
I just want a rare healer, I got like 6-7 rares, just mad attackers and tanks
It's not any ability of his that kills me, just the area he's in is tough to fight in cause there are reinforcements around. It is not possible to fight him and another monster at the same time cause the enemies there are way too strong to fight him and one other. This is with my whole party being level 35 and him being level 32. His HP is ridiculous. I'm pretty sure I hit 4 chain attacks total in that fight and he was still alive.
You guys will run into him soon enough. It's the "Man Eating Glenn" in Mor Ardain.
I was able to get him this morning. The other monsters jumped in again but I had done enough damage already that I was able to kill the beast before we got ganged up on. Hardest fight in the game for me so far. Was still a blast, as frustrating as those deaths were.
What kinda gear/upgrades/Blades you got breh? I fought Man Eating Glenn at 31 and whupped his ass, even with other monsters jumping in. The fight was long as fukk, but I was never in any real danger.
I got:
Rex - Pyra/Roc/Wulfric (Attackers)
Tora - Poppi (Tank)
Nia - Dromarch/Boreas (Healing)
On Rex I got Attack Stone (Increases auto-attack damage by 30%) and Silver Earrings (Fills Party Gauge on "Excellent" Specials). Sword Bash is Level 4, Anchor Shot and Double Spinning Edge is Level 2.
For Aux Cores Pyra has Ambush Boost II (Increases damage dealt by a surprise attack by 70%) and Critical Up II (Boosts critical hit rate by 12%). Roc and Wulfric has the same.
Not gonna list Tora or Nia's gear but it's fairly average for their respective levels. I spec'ed Poppi to draw aggro at the start of the fight so the monsters only attack them....unless we do too much damage.
Fred.
I hate micromanaging items in rpgs. So I really haven't paid any attention to the items. I put the vests that boost HP on my party members and called it a day. I haven't paid attention the aux cores or pouches either. Probably making the game harder than it needs to be but I really haven't had too much trouble outside of that one fight
Not to be picky but the uk voiceovers are terrible it’s just weirdUsing accessories and proper loadouts is absolutely essential. Perhaps the most complex and satisfying battle system in an RPG. I was actually button mashing for the first few hours. When I finally figured out combo attacks and cancel attacks, fights became MUCH more satisfying!
This is an amazing game. Just wish the voice overs were better.
