Xbone Defense Form - Select One or Multiple

[] You are getting too emotional, allowing me to ignore what you say
[] Gamers are getting entitled again
[x] You're a fanboy/You just hate Microsoft
[x] NeoGAF/Reddit/the hivemind is biased
[X] Doesn't matter, you'll change your mind and buy the console anyway
[X] Gamers just don't like change
[] Gamers are just mad because it's not about them
[] Opinions don't matter, only sales matter
[] Debating about games is meaningless anyway
[X] This is the future
[x] It's the exact same thing as the PC market because of Steam, so you're a hypocrite
[x] My perfect internet connection invalidates your imperfect internet connection
[x] The sharing with 10 family members feature is HUGE

their loyalty to microsoft prevents them from hearing anything logical at the moment.

"In addition, third party publishers can enable you to give games to friends"

* In other words, third party publishers can deny you the right to give games to friends

Lets also keep in mind the details of "family member" are super vague. More than likely, people can't just get people from the coli and have them be a "family member." Accounts will have to most likely be linked to the same billing address. The fact that they left the "Family accounts" information so vague tells me, and most of the gaming industry that its going to be very specific.

Its funny because all of those COD clans thought this meant they could all share one game and only one person would have to purchase a COD game once a year while the rest of the clan shares it.:heh:

Hold on. They clearly go through all this effort to get people to buy new games instead of used ones and dudes thought they would let them do something like this? :heh:

What clowns fail to realize is that they are actually only renting said games for the next 4-6 years. Once the servers go down, those games YOU purchased will no longer be able to work. People are allowing their brand loyalty to Microsoft to allow them to get ass raped with no fukks given :lolbron:

Also, the fukkery that will ensue when the average consumer calls/complains to Amazon/Various electronics stores claiming their Xbox stopped working after 24 hrs and must be defective :blessed:

Outside of the online restrictions (always online...DRM), this may be the most disconcerting thing I've ever seen in Video Games. You're buying something, but you're really not. All you're buying is Microsoft's permission to play a game. When they decide they don't want you to play it anymore you can't. Period.

So you don't own shyt. You're not even renting it per se, as you literally have no control over your ability to play it. It's astounding the arrogance of Microsoft at this point. Never would I have foreseen the fact of NOT being able to play a game I purchased. Think about that: you can go all the way back to Atari, and whatever system/games you kept, they can be played right now, today. When the Xbox Two comes out (I should say if/when...who knows what's gonna happen to M$ after this debacle), and they start shutting down servers (this WILL happen...we all know it) you will have a whole system worth of games that will be unplayable. It'll literally be a Blu-Ray/DVD player. It's disgusting.

I'm surely not buying a X1 at launch, and they're not getting any $$ from me unless they change all this shyt. I haven't even touched on the "online checks", and the fact that there's ppl in here with the nerve to defend that, either with the "who doesn't have internet" to the "if you don't have broadband, you shouldn't be getting a system in the first place" arguments. That are extremely naive and self centered responses, to say the least. Just because YOU have something, and your limited amount of friends/family/acquaintances also have something, doesn't mean that the other 315 million ppl in the US, and 7 billion ppl in the world enjoy the same luxuries as you. Get your head out of your ass for one second and realize that there are a whole lot of ppl that don't have access, or monetary means to have something you take for granted.

gamers try and fail to unify on everything. they always break ranks and do what they say they won't.

me i'm upfront about it. i don't like DRM but i don't dislike it enough to take a stand against it. all i care about is playing fun games i'm interested in. i can afford to game without selling back my used games. i'll tolerate console DRM and buy the console anyway. people like me who won't stand against it are why this whole anti DRM movement will likely fail.

how many gamers tried to unify against CoD DLC map packs or the whole server issue and failed? one of the only things gamers as a collective succeeded at was getting a lil bit of extra content added to the end of Mass Effect 3.

I'll be fine owning 1 console next gen.

I don't need to play every game, I don't even game like I used to anymore anyway. The people defending this are ridiculous, and like I've said from the jump, the Xbox One insults my intelligence as a consumer, therefor I'm not going to spend money on it.

Sony has a layup with the PS4 and this whole DRM issue. If they fukk this up and follow suit, I don't know what to say.

It's funny in this Xbox info reveal thread all you find is PlayStation gamers crying about a system they claimed they never was buying in the first place :stopitslime:
To my toddler floorgen... Ps4 doing the same shiit. This forums biased mods won't allow this information to be posted. But yeah. And just moving forward, the future will be full digital whether you like it or not. People will resist, NWO will counter by making the mark of the beast mandatory.
They gonna force people to be inserted with a chip
Microsoft isn't in cahoots with all that, so that is the direction anyone's "rage" should go.
Rage against the machine, The Government beefs with MS, but Sony seems to get away with murder. Think about it :birdman:

"Xbox One will also ALLOW you to give up to 10 family members access to log in and play your game library."

Gee...thanks M$ for giving me the privilege to share games I purchased with my money and own with my family and friends. We're so grateful :to:

according to the EULA you can't share your games. its a violation of the terms you agree to upon purchasing and using the game.

the fact of the matter is it was a term that was mostly unenforceable because they had no means to do so. now they do.

your concept of purchasing a game is flawed and based on old tech. its like my grandfather's concept of purchasing music was based on buying vinyl records.

you don't buy games. the publisher owns the game what you buy is a license to use their software as they dictate by the EULA. now because the publisher gives you a physical disc that boots in any console inserted right now you might feel like i spent this money i own this game but in reality all the publisher has to do is switch the delivery method from a physical disc to a digital copy and insert DRM and you see how much of a game you own.

Hopefully gamers take a stand and tank publisher games that put DRM on their games so while we may have a first bumpy year, hopefully after that they get back to their roots of providing games over leasing. This will effect PS4 also for people that like EA/Activision.
