•Trade-in and resell your disc-based games: Today, some gamers choose to sell their old disc-based games back for cash and credit. We designed Xbox One so game publishers can enable you to trade in your games at participating retailers. Microsoft does not charge a platform fee to retailers, publishers, or consumers for enabling transfer of these games.

this is being posted as if it's a feature... ooooooooooo i get to.... wait a minute.. couldn't i already do that now.. since.... i don't know.... forever... but now it's a feature..

look at that wording.. WE DESIGNED XBOX ONE SO GAME PUBLISHERS CAN ENABLE YOU........... i'm sorry what??? shouldn't you have designed that shyt to do what every system ever invented has done.. oh no.. the new "feature" is letting konami decide when and where you're ALLOWED to sell your 5 year old copy of a game

•Give your games to friends: Xbox One is designed so game publishers can enable you to give your disc-based games to your friends. There are no fees charged as part of these transfers. There are two requirements: you can only give them to people who have been on your friends list for at least 30 days and each game can only be given once.

hmmmmmmmmmm looks like more shyt that's normal in every year before 2013... has suddenly been changed into a "feature" instead of saying, "what up fam, i just got the new madden, you can have this old shyt" or "damn i just bought this game, and because EA won't let me sell it, i'm gonna let you have it"

no no no... not anymore... there's that funny language again.. XBOX ONE IS DESIGNED SO GAME PUBLISHERS CAN ENABLE YOU.....

damn... now ea sports gets to decide when i sell my game, where i sell my game... and now, who i can give the motherfukker away to?? what if he just copped his first xbox.. i been had mine.. got games i wanna give him, or sell him...

better ask the publisher for permission first.. oh that's right i can just share with him... if i don't already have my 10.. and 2 of us ain't playing at the same time... but its cool................. right???

In our role as a game publisher, Microsoft Studios will enable you to give your games to friends or trade in your Xbox One games at participating retailers. Third party publishers may opt in or out of supporting game resale and may set up business terms or transfer fees with retailers. Microsoft does not receive any compensation as part of this. In addition, third party publishers can enable you to give games to friends. Loaning or renting games won’t be available at launch, but we are exploring the possibilities with our partners.

hmmm more funny wording... so while microsoft won't have any fees.. GAME PUBLISHERS will have the option to charge us 4 million dollars to trade a game if they feel the need. good to know that all decisions won't be left with me... the guy paying $400 for this shyt... or the company who built it...

nooooooo.. i'll pay my money to microsoft then hear from them about how everything that happens is the game developers fault... good fukking plan and that's no sarcasm

Loaning or renting games won’t be available at launch, but we are exploring the possibilities with our partners.

and there we have it... after all that bullshyt about what we can do with our new "features," it finally comes out... the one way to get around all this... to save your money by trying before you buy a game that you can't take back, resale, or even give away at first....

well that's dead cause we ain't allowing you to rent a game or borrow one from your friend to even test the shyt out. so if there's no demo for the game.. you basically have a $60 shot in the dark

but let me :whoa: y'all fighting the "good" fight... the good fight wouldn't be saying "hey we're fukking paying customers since the real xbox 1, how about not taking away features" no no... the good fight is fighting for the company

you go guys :cape:

Wait until these cable companies start charging us for bandwidth. This is about to open Pandora box. fukkING SCUST :whoa:

This is next.....with all these tablets, smartphones, companies doing Digi Downloads, streaming, nikkaz turning off cable for netflix, hulu, roku and shyt...it's inevitable.

With cable companies/isps having bandwidth limits too, all they will do is make us pay more for the internet due to all of the shyt above.

Since Sony has a total offline option Publishers won't be able to even enforce an online DRM....but just don't go online if they do... :mjpls:

nikka I'm switching to Google Fiber the instant I can. They don't give a fukk about bandwidth they just wanna stuff ads in your face while you on the internet

Also, after this past week I'm convinced some of y'all is working for MS directly or hired by them to :cape: online. Some of the effort and spin that's trying defend some of their universally accepted shytty ideas WHEN THEIR OWN EXECS WON'T DO INTERVIEWS ABOUT IT just doesn't make sense that a simple fan of a system/brand would go that far.

- Trying to compare free services/open system markets (PC) to a closed system to justify the bullshyt
- Defending an obvious ploy to suck more money out of people with the always full price for games system.
- But..but bu Sony though! arguments (Two wrongs wouldn't make a right even if Sony did the same shyt as MS)

Microsoft must have done a lot of cost analyst research because the connectivity thing is kinda busura but I will say this more corporations are pushing for broadband. I guess they figure you will never hack/mod the Xbox now

This is also where dchp comes in

It's like you offering them your wrists to shackle. Slavery, imprisonment, whatever. You are allowing them to restrict you.

If Sony comes out with the same BS, it's a wrap :yeshrug:
I am hoping SONY can save console gaming...If they are truly against DRM I'll buy a PS4 just to support that stance alone...The problem though is SONY doesn't have an option...They either play along with what EA and other cancer publishers want or lose multiplatform support like Nintendo did...

This is why similar DRM on the PS4 should be expected...SONY has just worded their response to this DRM mess much better than MS...MS chose to be EA's number one bytch and spokesperson, SONY chose to take the Pontius Pilate route...They said they won't require any DRM and have put all responsibility on the publisher...Basically if a publisher chooses to use DRM such as whats on MS console, don't blame us, blame them...:manny:

I bet Sony is still scrambling with their e3 press conference, but this negativity probably forced them to rethink their stance. It's it is similar? Expect a similar video game crash and maybe Nintendo can save us again

I honestly think they was going to leave it to the publishers to do their own drm but they probably scrambling on even enabling that feature at all :damn:

I believe the black market has forced the hand of these publishers and in theory created what we have today just like with guns. We can't be free to do w/e we want anymore everything has to be regulated that's why I believe Sony will have something similar... Like I said its about cost analysis

What clowns fail to realize is that they are actually only renting said games for the next 4-6 years. Once the servers go down, those games YOU purchased will no longer be able to work. People are allowing their brand loyalty to Microsoft to allow them to get ass raped with no fukks given :lolbron:

Also, the fukkery that will ensue when the average consumer calls/complains to Amazon/Various electronics stores claiming their Xbox stopped working after 24 hrs and must be defective :blessed:

their loyalty to microsoft prevents them from hearing anything logical at the moment.

"In addition, third party publishers can enable you to give games to friends"

* In other words, third party publishers can deny you the right to give games to friends

Lets also keep in mind the details of "family member" are super vague. More than likely, people can't just get people from the coli and have them be a "family member." Accounts will have to most likely be linked to the same billing address. The fact that they left the "Family accounts" information so vague tells me, and most of the gaming industry that its going to be very specific.

Its funny because all of those COD clans thought this meant they could all share one game and only one person would have to purchase a COD game once a year while the rest of the clan shares it.:heh:
