so if EA tells Sony "Ok since you won't let us sell our products with any type of security we're going Microsoft exclusive" then what? what if Ubisoft, and Activision said the same thing?

when the PS4 that has sold 0 units and the Xbox One that has also sold 0 units hit and you can only get Battlefield, Madden, Assassin's Creed, and Call of Duty on the Xbox One then what? see what i'm saying? Sony has the power to say no but if they do they'll face that wrath. now if they had balls they could say no and let this go to market and have gamers rally around them and shun the Xbox One but you'd have to ask yourself if you were Sony would you gamble on that?
You saying this as if Sony is 2000 Dreamcast era status right now. EA and those other publishers NEED Sony. You can't look at Nintendo's situation and extrapolate from there that the same applies to Sony. Nintendo Wii U wasn't selling good at all for the first few months and coupled with it looking like last gen tech you think they're(pubs) going to waste time making games for it??

The reason I see a lot of 3rd parties falling back on the Wii U is this: The Wii U looks like current gen visually so far, it's not selling so it's not a real loss to publishers since there is not a huge userbase and then 3rd party titles generally aren't bought on Nintendo consoles.

The potential userbase for the Xbone looks like it will be way less than the 360 so I doubt these pubs are confident enough to lose out damn near half or more of their profits because they wanted to lock down their games.

Nobody has sold anything at this point. You're crazy if you think the major 3 publishers couldn't come together and smother the PS4 in its crib before the platform takes off. Hell if Activision alone came out and said Call of Duty is Xbox One only it would be devastating to Sony. You say they need Sony as if we're several years deep in the next gen and the install bases are heavily split.

This would never be a reality breh... Even if it this somehow happened... sonys fan base would just buy Killzone or insert shooter _________... and vice versa if Activision only wanted to fukk wit Sony, the xbots would just play Halo.and Gears... same with any other company... EA or Activision going exclusive would only open doors for other companies to fill that void breh

This new system of sharing games is actually pretty damn cool. You are able to gift games to friends, share them with friends, and all sorts of things via the cloud. This is actually quite amazing.

Why are people so mad again?

Trust me these companies want to make money, and if nobody is buying the xbox one, then they are not making money on that platform. Ea, and Activision want to sell software, and will gladly go with PS4, and PC. MS is shooting themselves in the foot. Gamers speak loudest with their wallet.

The sharing shyt is dope/epic/fiyaaaaa, but I just don't want the XBOXONE because handled everything obnoxiously.

They could have shown tried to explain how many illegal downloads of 360 titles are hurting developers etc.......

The issue is that each game now has a shelf life of 2 users; you and the person you gift it to. Additionally, you can only gift the game to someone you've been gamer friends with for 30+ days. So your ability to sell your used games has been taken from you (essentially denying you of actual ownership of the items that you purchased).

There are a LOT of people who buy used games, this is why Gamestop is such a large store in this industry. That sales channel is now closed. Now MS is saying that used games will be sold via authorized dealers, but they've not given us any details on that program in any way.....

There are also many people who may not buy used games, but they do sell their used games in order to fund their purchase of another new game. Now they can't so that and that will (also) affect new game sales.

--------------

I'll be interested in hearing how the 10 friends sharing thing will work as well as how the 'play your games at your friends house via the cloud' is handled. Will you be able to play via the cloud or will you have to wait until the 7+gig game is downloaded before you play it??? If so (you have to DL the game in it's entirety), then that while better than nothing, isn't a great solution..

Alright, some clarity needs to be brought to this topic cuz it's getting ridiculous.

YOU CAN RESELL AND TRADE IN YOUR XBOX ONE GAMES. It clearly states this in the official article from last Thursday. It's just that now you're only option is to resell or trade-in at participating retailers (most stores now). This kills the ebay/craigslist hustle, hence why you see outrage. But of course we have stans with agendas piggy-backing the genuine cries to make it seem like the end of the world.

In addition, BUYING used games hasn't even been discussed. Literally zero details from Microsoft. It's anybody's guess when it comes to that. A far cry from "no used games" at this point. :smh:

So i can designate 10 of my friends as family and we can share games? How is that not a win? The price of games just dropped to 6 bucks.

I still can't believe people really thought this was going to be reality

MS just wants the consumer to feel like they'll missing out on something at this point. I don't believe that shyt, but it's smart to say how it "would" have been after they've taken it away.

Now the same whiny complainers will just ask why it's still not in place for digital releases. Basically, MS is dumb as fukk.

:wow:

Why would they need a sharing feature...for a demo feature?
It never made sense. They was going to do that with every game? The original plan was already in place.

fukk out here with that shyt :pacspit:

Edit: Once again fukk the consumers if this shyt is true :pacspit: :pacspit:
