BG3’s combat isn’t basic at all and proves you don’t know what you’re talking about lol
Its the most in-depth and immersive role playing combat system that exists, its not just hacking at slow moving things in front of you and zapping them with spells until they disappear
I’m excited for Avowed too but you picked a pile of used, non-clumping cat litter as the hill to die on here
Please tell a former DnD and pathfinder player about the combat.

RPGs are always about stats, strategy, etc.
Witcher 3 combat aint nowhere near as good as DMC but it’s still a great game due to all the options and strategies, the story the roll playing.
Same thing here, i liked that they talked about the flexibility of the combat and all the different strategies and RPG systems That’s why you play an obsidian game. People don’t love Fallout New Vegas cause the gunplay is great.
