Well it actually hasn't been announced but going off the director's comments saying it would be horror and that " We also drew on movies like One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Stephen King stuff, and even Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors." . Which are all R rated, so we'll see.

So it's not (stated its) Rated R; the director just said that it has horror "influences".

Ummmm this is gonna be rated PG-13, Fox is pushing for a PG-13 movie and

Disney:comeon:

Disney:martin:

Disney:rudy:

I dont think I need to go on.... but those clips is probably harder and more violent then what we are gonna see in this movie.

And its under DISNEY

So come on precious Mouse.... please forgive these niccas what they dont know and their ignorance:lawd:

You're really trying to use a Netflix production as an example.

When there are loose statements that go “...but Disney wont...”

Not sure why there is an issue of showing “what Disney did”:gucci:

Does swearing, fukking (at times interracial fukking at that), and violent killing with lots of blood align with this “Disney family friendly branding” card that so many love to pull when trying to knock Marvel properties?

Just humor me with that alone..... fukk trynna separate it due to the mediums when no one on the front end is separating the mediums. Disney is Disney.:what:

'New Mutants' Reportedly Undergoing Reshoots to Insert a New Character

If all had gone according to plan, the release of X-Men spinoff The New Mutants into theaters would be less than two months away. Instead, after a series of test screenings, the film was pushed back to a new 2019 release date.

We now have a sense of what is taking place in the intervening months. According to The Hollywood Reporter, The New Mutants will undergo a series of reshoots that will add an additional character to the film’s lineup.

Who could this character be? The most obvious answer would be Warlock, a longtime member of the New Mutants who joined not too long after the team first formed. Rather than a mutant – at least in the traditional, Earth-born sense – Warlock is a member of a shapeshifting race called the Technarchy. Technarchy survive by infecting living organisms with a techno-organic virus and then draining that being’s life energy. Warlock possesses an unusual amount of compassion for one of his species, and refused to consume sentient beings, often leaving the distinction up to his teammate, Danielle Moonstar.

Warlock’s alien appearance and shape-shifting nature suggest that he would likely be a computer-generated character. This may make it easier for him to be inserted into The New Mutants in post-production.

Director Josh Boone has stated previously that he planned to hold off on introducing Warlock until later in his planned trilogy of New Mutants movies.

“We brought it to Fox as a trilogy of films, really all based on that long run by [Bill] Sienkiewicz, and kind of incorporates some stuff from later issues in the ’80s,” Boone said. “These are all going to be horror movies, and they’re all be their own distinct kind of horror movies. This is certainly the ‘rubber-reality’ supernatural horror movie. The next one will be a completely different kind of horror movie. Our take was just go examine the horror genre through comic book movies and make each one its own distinct sort of horror film. Drawing from the big events that we love in the comics.”

X-Men moviesinclude Deadpool 2 on May 18th, X-Men: Dark Phoenix on November 2nd, and Gambit on June 7, 2019.

I wouldn't mind Kitty Pryde or Warlock. I think Warlock would make the movie scarier :ohhh:

'New Mutants' Original Ending Introduced Jon Hamm's Mr. Sinister

There's been a lot of buzz and speculation about Fox's X-Men movie universe after the report this week that two of the studio's 2018 films (New Mutants, X-Men: Dark Phoenix) were reshuffled to new 2019 release dates, with major reshoots planned for both. In the case of New Mutants, this was the second major release delay, after the film had already been pushed once.

Naturally, fans have been wondering about what's going on with director Josh Boone's New Mutants adaptation; the first New Mutants trailer generated strong buzz with its superhero/horror blend, and reports are that after the success of IT, Fox wanted to add more horror to New Mutants. However in a new report, we've just learned of a now-defunct post-credits scene in the original version of the film, which would've had massive impact on the larger X-Men movie universe.

According to the Tracking Board, New Mutants would've introduced the character of Mr. Sinister to the X-Men movies, and the villain would've been played by none other than Mad Men star, Jon Hamm! Check out the report below:

"Meanwhile, remember the Essex Corporation that was teased at the end of X-Men: Apocalypse? Well not only was New Mutants going to feature that mysterious company, but The Tracking Board has learned that Jon Hamm was originally going to appear as Mr. Sinister in a tag at the end of New Mutants, and Boone filmed material that led up to that reveal, only for Fox to change their minds after shooting had been completed. Now it’ll be Antonio Banderas playing an unspecified villain (one who isn’t expected to be Mr. Sinister) in the New Mutants tag."

That's a massive change from what Boone and co. originally had planned, to what we're now getting. The Essex Corporation appeared in X-Men: Apocalypse's post-credits scene, when the shadowy corporation obtained a sample of Logan / Wolverine's blood, after his violent escape from the Weapon X program. That blood sample was used to then create the clone Laura / X-23, who we met in Logan's dark near-future. With that connective tissue being strewn together, fans have been waiting for Mr. Sinister to finally emerge as a new big bad in the X-Men movie franchise, and it sounds as though New Mutants would've edged us closer to that happening. And now it won't.

The substitution of Antonio Banderas is a curious one, as we cant help but wonder which X-Men villain the actor could be playing. What are you're best guesses? And how do you feel about Jon Hamm as Mr. Sinister? Let us know in the comments!
