Magneto is not right, instead of him going after Bastion who told him he killed all those people he is hurting everybody else having a tantrum. He had a temporary solution that was right for the moment in shutting down the prime sentinels and now he is taking it too far.

If Magneto went DEFCON 1 on people like Stryker and Creed, I wouldn't mind.

However, his decision has put everyone's life on Earth in jeopardy, which includes millions of mutants. Completely counterproductive and pointless.

Dude, Sinister helped the attack on Genosha for bodies to experiment on.

Magneto is in control of the situation, he can turn the power back on and off at any moment.Magneto left the door open to the rest of the X-men even after he only persuaded two. He wasn’t some angry dictator who cast them out for not jumping aboard immediately. Only after they came after him did he start whooping ass.

He can’t turn the power back on to send a message to mutants on tv to meet him at X point for pickup on New Asteroid M.

Yeah, the show hasn’t done a great job showing the scope of things, we only see a handful of mutants on Genosha, but we get the point.

I think that the one thing the TV show(s) get wrong, or over exaggerate with Magneto is him senselessly killing mutants. He's a strategist, and while he will sacrifice mutants and kill them to achieve his goal, that's not his main objective. I don't think Magneto does the EMP in such a way the show did. They went out of their way, IMO, showing the contrasting viewpoints, but Xavier isn't so high-ground righteous.

And in almost every era Magneto having to kill mutants (most of the time) bothers him. He was pissed at the Acolytes for their senseless violence in his name...and of course what he did to Cortez, who had it coming. There was another Acolyte a few years later but I can't remember her name.

The point is to stop the cycle. If Magneto wants to live with mutants on Asteroid M, some arbitrary deadline for Earth doesn’t matter. Mutants won’t suddenly die in 45 minutes.

The same can be said for mutants like apocalypse, pheonix, magneto, cassandra nova, sinister etc. Those villains have threatened to destroy the world more than the humans did. If you were the humans you wouodnt be wary ? For wvery 1 master mold os like 3 of them.

Mystique killing kelly is what starts the dystopian future in the first place. that was for magneto. HE is the problem.

Magneto jumpstarted the war he is tryung to end by being a madman fukk. His solution is insane. He was a madman in fatal attraxtions, he is one here. Instead of going after bastion he sits on a throne. Guy lost the plot from the get go. Hes mutant kinds biggest enemy of all becauae all the hate stems from him doing wild shyt.

Nimrod tried killing the “ good” mutant Xavier before all this started.

You aren’t going to get out of this cycle by blaming Magneto. This is a fight about the future.

Hell Bastion and the Sentinels aren’t even fighting to save humanity. They don’t even see a difference between mutants and humans. They upgraded everyone to Prime Sentinels. How is that helping anyone?

Bastion had them on ropes and let magneto know that OZT was at every level of the world powers. He literally divided and conquered the x-men, Prime Sentinels were able to recover from damage so time wasn’t on their side.

Based on the story they are telling and magneto’s state of mind. He had two options based on saving mutant lives.

- X out Bastion which narratively we don’t know if Bastion’s death would stop the sentinels endangering more mutant lives.

- Quickest option drop the EMP and stop all mutant death. And send a message to humanity. Which is what he told the X-men with the Asteroid M offer.

Even though magneto had a lazy arc. He showed humans compassion at his trial and was royally betrayed for it. Narratively he was done with all of it.
