That ODB shyt was sad. He truly was the glue and things never felt right after he passed. They felt forced. He was the heart and soul. Even tho it was funny learning he didn’t write his rhymes like that. Thinking back on his first album is funny as hell now becuz literally just recorded anything. But seeing him looking like a shell of himself walking around with Dame Dash after coming home almost made me choke up

No body wanted a u-god album and there was no real demand for masta killa. U god only had like 2-3 verses on 36 chambers cuz he was locked.. no verses on tical. Now sunz of man and killa army was bubblin since 95. nikkas wanted those albums. soldiers of darkness dropped in 95, to the point he shyt got a video and no album dropped till 99. i remember the shyt gettin heavy play on college radio

Was hoping we'd see more of the behind scenes shyt when they were creating the albums. ...and they didn't even mention extended fam at all! That's another major groundbreaking part of the wu story, how even their mans got put on and had successful careers. You can see 'Bazz and Priest in some of the footage but that's about it. Guess you just can't do justice to the Wu story in 4 hours

Looks like we're even further from seeing GZA's documentary also seeing how they used some of his footage for this. They could do a multi season netflix doc with each season focusing on a year, or an album at a time..shyt would be

Power, we I had 1 foot in/1 out, but I didn't know Divine was still so heavy in the streets during all of that time.
