mr. x leadin the Cap charge :whoo:

he was cool, there was no verse that made me go :scust: . there was some of that on 8D, probably the biggest difference between the albums. GZA sounded like crap on Starter, Deck sounded weak on Stick Me, I didn't like Cap on Campfire. everything on here is either solid or above average, and no bad mixing

Cap was awful on Campfire.

Basically what I said a few pages back. I'm almost 100% positive that he's not the only that was in here downing the album without even hearing it. Same thing happened with 8 Diagrams. I remember when the album was getting leaked, track by track, dudes were loving it. Then Rae and Ghost sh!tted on it and all of a sudden dudes were lined up to sh!t on it also.

im kind of afraid that new interview is going to do that, even tho Cap was clearly referring to Ghost and Rae not wanting to do and not HIS feelings on the album. we all knew it was hard to make

but if that's the case, they are fools

I like the fact they did something different and conceptual and with a positive essence. It had what I wanted, some deeper positive tracks and some rawer Wu shyt. It's different for Wu and that's dope, RZA beats are ill on it and it's nice to hear them like this. It wasn't gonna be grimey early 90's shyt the whole time, didn't expect that or completely want that. We get that a lot with some of the solo work, this was something a little different and it worked for me.

True. Dope verses throughout the album.

Nah I wasn't, I was expecting something similar to what we got and I'm satisfied with the album. This is the kind of thing I wanted, something different, I really like the concept and the album is a great piece to purchase, it feels like a moment in time. Particularly if it's their last group album.

Exactly. I'm not making a straight comparison here but this could be Wu's "Life Is Good". The mature album and nothing like their classic debut. Of course the album has its flaws but it's a damn good album. A contender for Album of the Year (for me personally). Give me anything like this over some generic trap nonsense.

That's exactly what's going to be the narrative after that little couple sentence Cappadonna quote from a short interview.

I know what you're saying, comparison makes sense. The other approach without any differences or advancements could become stale at this point, I'm glad they tried something different here musically and conceptually. Plus with the concept that approach wouldn't have worked for a full album, this album has some songs that are classic to me. It's really dope, I like Ghostface's album too but the Wu's album is even better to me. Yeah, it isn't quite perfect, but it's still dope. It is certainly 1 of the best albums have heard this year, would be in the top 5, maybe even top 3. Exactly, this is better than so much overhyped shyt, this actually shows skill MC'in wise and production wise...

Out of interest, has anyone got a verse count for each member on the album?

That's the problem with hip hop fans.A lot of fukking group think. When the album leaked shyt was getting positive feedback. Now a couple bad reviews and interviews now the shyt sounds "forced".

How the fukk the album sounds forced?:rudy:then you got nikkas who didn't even hear the album in the thread talking shyt.:mindblown:

These dudes have so many underrated projects since Forever because of that bullshyt.

by doing what? using some RZA cover-band producers with AZ features?

those beats are nothing special on that album, outside of like 3 tracks

Rae, by the sounds of it, would rather try and promote this FILA album he has in the works. It's been near 2 years since that was supposed to drop. The hype is :flabbynsick: for that at the moment.
