I figured that it would be positive considering that it's the highest rated review so far.

The one from the guardian is positive too. And the one from USA Today. Giving the album a 7/10 or 3/5 isn't a bad thing. I know we're in the era of things either being classic or trash with no in-between but damn

This is why your favorite rappers from years ago dont like putting out new music, the so called fans dont seem to ever appreciate it like they did years ago.. yall should have known there was a reason its been over ten years since the last group album, shyt aside from rae and ghost they aint even put out solo work.. it really aint fair to expect mid 90's wu tang in 2014

the problem with this album is that it sounds incredibly forced. like they forced themselves in a studio and forced some shyt out on some forced beats. even went the extra mile by appeasing the hipsters with some putkast type heeyyaa type vibe. FOH

True but idk I feel like with these reviews Wu Tang is being criticized more so than others. It probably has to do with their legendary pedigree.

I havent heard the album yet... but I dont think creative freedom is the problem here.

Ultimately, it sounds like this was an album nobody wanted to make. Its like parents who stay in a miserable marriage and blame their kids. Id rather hear strong solos than weak group efforts.
:stopitslime:This nikka didn't even hear the fukking album.Get all the way the fukk out of here.:camby:

Plus I had a lot of chicks, you can have those bytches
But I murder your bloodclot if you touch my riches
Yeah crazy ass skipper, I be in the slums, nikka
fukk where I come from I'm a quiet gangster nikka
First I get you comfortable, then I start shanking nikkas
Park Hill code is don't violate the family
Brother to brother it's no snakes in the amnesty
I come through wilding on some Wu-Tang Can It Be
Googly-eyed nikka, chop his face in the ministry
Never scared to do the time, fukk the penitentiary
Leave a bunch of dead nikkas, don't forget to mention me
The angel of rap, the un-ordinary light
Already did what I was gonna do before you even got the mic

Basically what I said a few pages back. I'm almost 100% positive that he's not the only that was in here downing the album without even hearing it. Same thing happened with 8 Diagrams. I remember when the album was getting leaked, track by track, dudes were loving it. Then Rae and Ghost sh!tted on it and all of a sudden dudes were lined up to sh!t on it also.

Were people genuinely and honestly expecting a 36 Chambers in 2014? :dahell:

Nah I wasn't, I was expecting something similar to what we got and I'm satisfied with the album. This is the kind of thing I wanted, something different, I really like the concept and the album is a great piece to purchase, it feels like a moment in time. Particularly if it's their last group album.

mr. x leadin the Cap charge :whoo:

he was cool, there was no verse that made me go :scust: . there was some of that on 8D, probably the biggest difference between the albums. GZA sounded like crap on Starter, Deck sounded weak on Stick Me, I didn't like Cap on Campfire. everything on here is either solid or above average, and no bad mixing
